nitrobusa, I sent you a message several days back. Asking about wheel fit, do you have a set of Summits on the rear? If so what size and backspace? I put a set on the front and was thinking of getting a set for the rear. When I called Summit and ask about a 15x10 they said it came with a 4.5 backspace. I was wondering if a 15x8 with a 5.5 backspace would fit without spacers.

Mine are 15x8 with 5.5bs. They fit fine and do not stick out any. My car is lowered 1.5in and I run a 27x11.50x15 Hoosier QTP. I had to roll the fenders but if it wasnt lowered I wouldnt have to. Chris has the 15x10 with 6.5bs but I wouldnt run it on a camaro. The rear fenders on the T/A are a little wider. And yes they are the Summits on the rear.

This place sure is dead considering our track is about to open back up. Guess I need to go ahead and reserve my room in memphis since I'll have a track close enough to go practice and fine tune everything.

Speaking of being dead! The memphis section is dead as hell, nobody talking about the big race this year. I kinda wonder if it will survive after this year with the economy like it is and all the bad GM news going around.

I heard a rumor that Memphis was sold and bought but after this year memphis raceway will be no more but the city of little rock,AR has granted permission to build a top notch facility that will host everything that memphis has or had. That would be nice to only be 2 hours away. Guess we will have to set back and wait to see what happens with this rumor going around.

We picked up a 08 Black GT from a dealer in Harrison Ark. Loaded with everything but sunroof and 19s. Its got the two tone red/black leather as well. Was a GM Executive car, and we picked it up with 1000 miles on it! I couldnt pass the deal up for $24k. It was worth the drive.

I think I saw your wife last month while I was sitting in the drivethrough at chick fil a near the hospital and saw a dark grey GT going through the stoplight.

OK guys thanks for the info on the Summit wheels. I called them today and I can get the Sport Slot in a 15x8 with the 5.5 backspace. I have always used the M/T ET Street Radial in the 275/50R15 as my car is geared and will be cammed for a 26" tire and I like them. I was just wondering what you guys that use the Hoosiers think of them, I have been looking at the Quick Time DOT Pro Tire in a 26x11.5-15LT. Have any of you ran both the M/T and the Hoosier?

I wouldnt **** on the MT tires after running the QTP's. My car wouldnt hook at the track for **** with them nor on the street. When I put the QTP's on there it leaves like a rocket on the street so i know it will hook at the track....

Yea, but on caddobass car the dr's are the better choice with it being an auto.

Josh, the street tire deal won't happen on the 6th, we all want to go get some real runs in that first weekend

hopefully they prep the track up good for opening day. With traction i feel a high 11 will be a breeze. Greg came in and tweaked my tune a bit and its running fantastic, better then before. I got the SVO 30s in now and the speedo corrected for the new gears.

Well im shooting to have 2 rides at the track on the 6th. My T/A and the S10 im in the middle of building. If everything goes at planned ill be hauling the T/A with the s10 but its too far away with tons of work to do before then. Ever seen a tubbed truck hauling a car? lol
