Are you planning to work with some of these guys on here about the EFI races? Also it would be nice to see a few full blown F body shooutout again like the old Hallsiville days when we had the "Texas Shootout",that was alot of fun.
What or if you can give us hints, are you planning to change at RRR? I'm meaning from track prep, ground level changes,1/4 or 1/8th mile bracket program,What sanction are you going to go with,How long are you planning to run events?
One thing that pissed alot of us off was the time frame RRR was run in. It was almost like we were on the clock at work,at 11:00 p.m. the work whistle went off and everyone had to go. We would loose 1-2 hours on some nights with oil downs and Bikes jumping people to get more runs in that some of us felt lucky to get 2-3 runs in. That is a major deal breaker for me and what i mean by that is that with today's economy i pay $50-$75 to race i want my money's worth.
I'm not trying to come off like a whinner or bitching but after the last few years or being raped by ken and molly we have a lot of question on what your going to do differently.

The track is NHRA sanctioned. We planning on running 1/4 and 1/8 mile races. As far as track changes, the bump where the asphalt and concrete meet got flattened out today. We also plan to use real VHT and actually spray the track, so traction hopefully won't be a issue any longer. Also getting a completely new timing system for Compulink. We are talking with diffferent organizations to try and organize a few shootouts and such. We are concentrating right now on just getting a working race track right now. And then we will go from there. Thanks for all your interest and hopefully your support. Without the folks like you coming to race, we know there would be no track to race at. Thanks

We have a nice group of efi guys that are really good bracket racers. We set up 5 points races last year and had a nice turnout for the first race but we got no support from Ken and Molly. We were more or less treated like we were in the way.
We'd really like to set something like this up this year with one points race a month. This would bring 20-30 cars a race if it were done right. They didn't even put it on the damn season calender! If you guys would be interested in do this you can contact Caddobass (Wayne) or me. We put a lot of time into this last year and we were starting to get some good racers showing back up to the track. Some of us are interested in doing some points racing (just for bragging rights
) without running in No/E or S/P and there has never been anything like this for the street guys.

I called the track today to see if the number was working and also to stop by just to talk. Like cainsw was saying we started having some races a couple of years ago as LS1tech Racing at Red River with the hope of starting a points season. We were getting some great turn outs for the three or so races we ran that year with cars coming from Arkansas, Texas, & Louisiana. Well last year we tried to open our races up to more brand names by changing to EFI Racing and allowing any EFI car to run with us. At the same time we wanted to have two classes (bracket & heads-up). We ended up just running a bracket class, for yearly points. This year we would like to work with Thunder Road and run a points race each month for nine months. Just as soon as we could set down and talk myself, Josh, & Chris would really like to dicuss this. I would really like to see our old friends from Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana back together at The Dragstrip on Thunder Road.

I know theirs a vehicles classified section, but I want a local buyer from the ArkLaTex area. I'm not messing with shipping. I have a NBM 2002 Camaro SS with 30,00 miles, A4, 3:23, American Racing Headers, SLP dual-dual catback, tinted windows, new tires for $15,000. The reason for selling, my wife and I just found out she's pregnant. So we need money for a down payment for a bigger house. PM me, E-mail me or call me. Our E-mail is FantasticFour@netscape.com. Our # is {318} 549-4918. I have no pics because I don't have a digi camera or equipment to take pics with.

How strict are these guys gonna be at tech inspection at the track? I dont know how fast the car is gonna be. Next time i come out there i am gonna be running some convopros and some hoosier qtp's. I dont really want to put any kind of cage in the car. It went 12.70's with the flowmaster exhaust and before i had it retuned by greg. I dont know what its gonna do now. Wayne, Chris, what do yall think?

You will need a driveshaft loop, approved helmet and make sure you have a good battery hold down then you should be ok. Chris did have a rule list reference on the efi live site I sent him last year. 11.50 is the magic number for the roll bar.

Well, you'll hear a lot of people say they did not like Tom Brown, he is the manager of Thunder Road, he was the man in charge when RR first open back in 98 and he believed in following the rules then so I figure he will be no different now. I can't tell you he will run you off for running 11.4's without a cage but I would think they will really start looking hard for a cage in a convertible running mid 11's. If I remember correctly a cage is required in a vert if it's faster than 13.49 but they will probably let you slide. We'll have to wait and see
