The Mcleod is rebuild-able and is about the best in that price range. You can get a better one for about $2500 I think.

Nice commuter! Years ago I had one exactly like that, same color and all. Fun little rappy car. I was suprised as to how much gas that little tiny 1.7 sucked down! Fun though.
Oh yeah, had it less than 1 year. Woke up one morning, car was gone. Reported it stolen, less than 2 hours later they told me to come get my belongings out of the car...it was completely stripped. Right down to a rolling shell!

McLeod twin disk and be done with it. Don't bother with that monster **** I've heard nothing but bad things about them from more than one person who has used them.

FWIW, the McLeod twin disk is a great clutch for racing, but a quick search will reveal that it's notorious for not lasting too many miles on the street.

I run a Mcleod twin and have never had an issue but I have seen plenty of them with monster. Do a search although most of the legit complaints about a vendor products gets deleted from the site.
They do make different versions of the street twin
$2500 would be for a different brand name.. cant remember who makes it.

And to answer your question, yes I am having a bad day. Jacked up my back pretty badly two days ago and don't have health insurance. So,,, sitting here in pain, droppin' Ibuprofen like candy.
