Very nice car. One thing I will say, after seeing how much Kerry spends on parts & service for her BMW, be ready to cough up some $$$$ when parts go bad. I'd personally keep the SS. She's got a friend with a beemer as well and I swear that thing has parts going bad in it all the time. Her window motor, tail lights and battery have gone out several times.

I used to own an e39 m5, absolutely amazing cars, total monsters but insanely comfortable.
terrible fuel mileage, if you're willing to do your own maintenance they are relatively affordable. I did the front chains and my god, must have been a 1000 (literally) bolts and nuts to get on and off but the parts themselves weren't bad.
don't buy one from freeman, they overprice the crap out of their stuff. e39 m5's are so bottomed out of prices right now. I picked mine up for ~14k a year ago - that is a whole lotta car for that kinda cash.
also, wood interior, gross, brushed aluminum ftw
I changed my spark plugs in 15 minutes.
ahahahah, get it, fbodies can't do that.
the rear plug on 335's are pretty painful but it's only one, not two

now spark plug replacement in the m5, good god.
remove both air cleaners
remove both air intakes for hvac
remove ~15 bolts to remove top of air intake
remove ~30 bolts to remove air rams for each cylinder
remove ~30 bolts to remove bottom of air intake
remove ~16 bolts to take off spark plug cover protector part of valve covers
remove ~35 bolts to remove coil packs and surrounding wiring
remove & replace 8 spark plugs
reinstall coil packs
fight with the rubber gasket on the back of the motor on both sides to put the covers back on
reinstall ALL of those damn bolts.
