Looking for a tuner
Hello everybody
This looks like a mixed topic thread so I don't think I'm going off topic. If I am I apologize.
I posted this question on other forum but got no answers so I thought I'd try with people that know the area. It seems to me we're not very well known out here. I some times think people think OR. is part of another state.
I'm looking for a tuner in NW OR. or SW wash. that people have used and were happy with the results.
My original post read:
Pacific NW Tuners
6 spd. 2000 Z with 29,000 miles runs great with bolt ons like Lid, CAI, SLP LS6 intake, etc. No pinging, knocking at all. Made 339.76 / 349.22 at the rear wheels last year without the LS6 intake.
Now I'm looking for more power from a stock engine, if that's possible .
Question is, has anyone had good experiences with any tuners in the NW Oregon, SW Washington areas.
I have access to an HP Tuner, but other than turning it off I haven't a clue. I was allowed to correctly delete AIR codes and reset the fan turn on/ off temps. I'll soon start to learn how to turn the unit on.
I wonder if it's worth while to take it in and get a tune on a stock motor. Any thoughts ?

So what are you wanting to tune it for? The LS6 intake you put on and the bolt ons? Do you have headers or are you running the stock manifolds? I personally would have it dyno tuned and if you do have these items on such as the ls6 intake and headers you will see some gains with a dyno tune.
That was probably me. I live on one of those back roads between Hillsboro, Newburg & Scholls

Silverado Super Sport, i wish i had twin snails for that thing. Although, the LQ9 might be in the camaro one day.
Nice lookin camaro, put some OEM c5 y2k wheels on there and be set. Good numbers too!

I'm curious to see what the LS6 intake, P&P TB, & bump stop mod gained me. I running stock exh. manifolds. The numbers produced on the last dyno runs, 339.43/349.22, 335.47/346.22, 338.49/349.01 seem freaky. I didn't think a stock LS1 motor with bolt ons would make that much power. The runs were on a Dyno Jet.
