Yeah that TBSS is pretty nice!
ETA...ummmmm about 10 years from now, that's how it feels now..lol..
Probably sometime at the end of January. That's when I get my year end a 4th quarter bonus. Then I can get a rear end and my Trans done by a certain person. this thing is taking forever. Not to mention I'm going to need a duel walbro set up cause I won't be feeding enough fuel to the motor. Man it never ends lol..

If it helps you feel any better you are putting it in a car that is at least built to be a fast car and has a lot of good parts from the factory. Unlike say my El Camino where everything is pretty much a time bomb waiting to fail
Good luck with the build though, and also who are you using for the machine work?

Thanks Jess. Well all of our parts are cheap, somewhat, and you could swap everything over to your car.
I went to Craig. He has a machine shop on the side of the woodburn napa. He brought my cylinders to with in .0001 .0002 which is awesome! Let me know if you wanna call him ill give you his number.

I'm still having some sticker shock coming from building old school small blocks. There are a ton more parts out there for next to nothing, but having 60+ years of the same engine can do that The potential power out of one of these new engines is just too good to pass up though.

Steve at Modern Classics out in Lake O does. 5717 Jean Road Lake Oswego, OR 97035 (503) 635-8252

IMO you would be better off going to Wong's Performance in Vancouver, Washington if you can make the drive.

Just FYI that Modern Classics has moved to a new building/location about 3 weeks ago. Best to give out updated information.

That'll be just in time to race me. Hope ya don't get hurt too badly, planning on gears and full exhaust. I so hate stock, but almost 6K into getting the car back to original form with no cash yet to speed mods except the phat tires and rear suspension. Now that's frustrating.

I did get the correct information from online. So I'm not sure where your looking. It is whatever. There are enough people around here to help with giving the correct information (including you as being helpful).

Thanks everyone. I feel very, uh, welcome

Dexter is about 15-20mins away if you get on hw58 from I-5, and it's right before you get to Lowell.

I drove a 1995 Trans Am until too many launches at Woodburn ate up my first gear synchro. I dont have any pictures of the car on this computer, but I do have video on youtube:

Pretty stock car, almost nothing done to the engine except 1.6 rr and a tune (done at home haha), but it does have a few other goodies Strange S60 rear end with a 4.30 gear, Hurst sts, MT DR's, qa1 front shocks on 300lb springs and a loooot of umi important bits lol. The car weighs in at about 3800 with me in it.

I was hoping to run into a few more locals in my area or that frequent Woodburn dragstrip, the more the merrier right? haha

Welcome, looks to me like those 4:30 gears slowed you down at the end. Steven, there's no way I'd be standing where some of those fools were. Haha. SPLAT!
