@mikey97zm6, I decided not to get the roller rockers anyways. Like you said they are a waste of money on an LS1. I did pick up a gm z06 85mm maf, 98mm lid and a 160 degree thermo. I should have had my fast 90 ported but I don't want to invest to much money in this motor. I will be building a new motor sometime in the near future whether anyone believes me or not lol

So my car is coming together. I need a degree wheel now and to learn to use it. Also when I was putting my valve springs on, I had the tool come loose and I lost a retaining clip. But its getting there

I don't know why you guys don't like the 5.3 heads. 5.3 vs 243/241/799 they all flow pretty much the same when PnP..

Yeah this year was garbage..lol..

Not much to brag about but I was goin to work Friday morning and this STI pulled up to me and wanted to race. Turbo sounded pretty loud so I have him the race. Let's just say he didn't win.. I pulled him pretty bad lol.. Anyways just thought I throw that out there.

That looks like Hemi design with the plugs going through the valve covers. Fit? Hhmm. Hard to make all that power have traction.

The top fuel dragsters and funny cars are actually putting out over 10,000 HP. Many of the top dragster/top sportsman cars and some of the super comp cars are running 700+ cubic inch engines and even a few guys are running the 1000 CI engines.

Last time I heard they were only 8,000. But still amazing they can only use up to 499C.I motors. And they go over 300mph in a 1,000 feet now. Just think if they were still doing the 1320 how fast they would be going. 330+?

The just did a test at the US Nationals last weekend and most were over 10k and a few were 11k. Yes it use to be 8k. And the 1320 mph record was set at 335 mph @ 8k hp before they went to 1000 feet and now the 1000' mph is 332.

How they measured it was with a torque meter on the driveshaft and then use the following equation......
(RPM x Torque)/5252= estimated HP

With certain variables, their comments are probably just generalized.

The spring and retainer actually hit me when the spring compressor let loose. Luckily I was wearing safety glasses or else I would probably be wearing an eye patch. Lol
