I have a date with Tom on the 23rd. He's gonna fix my car and do a retune. Does anyone have any ideas for parts before I take her in? I am thinking about ordering a thermo and roller rockers along with 98mm lid and larger maf before I get the retune. I'm not sure what else to order but I have to beat Todd so I'd like to squeeze out some more ponies....then again it's only Todd, shouldn't be too hard to win rofl =)

Sounds like a good start Slayer. Todds car is hella fast, he decided to get into it on 26. I was about a second and a half until I engaged. At that point, where my power curve and his was, there was no catching him. But, I had it to the point were the distance was remaining even. let's hear how the mods turn out. What happened to that LSX 454? Better yet the 427.

Ah, al those mods cost so much cash. I've already dumped around 5,200 into my car in under 9 months. Guess I'll catch up to ya'll with the other stuff. I'm thinking...first a cheap *** truck and rental house, second a good investment broker, then buy a house, then....longtube ceramic headers, cutouts, gears, fast intake, cam, ported heads, cage, procharger. Haha, well....then I guess that's 10s

Then again it's only you....aka Mr. start up a thread about some bogus 454 build we all knew was a bust from the get-go. https://ls1tech.com/forums/northwest...new-build.html Bring it, don't sing it.

It's all in good fun fellas Next year it sounds like there might actually be some racing going down. This year was garbage. Nobody did any cruising or racing. Looking forward to seeing T$ and Poncho's new build. Phil's too. I might just have to make the jump to a D1-SC this winter.

Walked it? I disagree. Our first run I was in the wrong gear. The second I jumped you, but only for a couple seconds until you started to pull away. Keep in mind I was carrying several hundred more pounds than you being my car weighs more, I'm twice your size and I had two passengers (Welldonecj7 & my daughter) to your none. Your car should pull mine being you are lighter, have better heads and a bigger cam that makes more peak power. With that said, I would bet my bankroll the outcome will be different after I put on a set good flowing heads and I'm driving solo. You better upgrade those 5.3L to some better heads or Procharge that SS. If not, I will be the one pulling you next year

You guys crack me up. I might as well jump in on this. I'm looking to pick up a 6.0L this weekend to swap into my El Camino. Its from a '99 chevy...I think I read they had a longer crank but with over 150K miles it may as well get rebuilt and I might as well swap the crank out while I'm at it (or just run a 4L80E and not swap it).
The only problem is I'm doing body work now and not sure when I can start the swap. Just put the chrome back on the front.
