Hey, new to the forums (post-wise at least). I'm looking for a shop to rebuild my transmission. I'm located in Bellingham (2 hours north of Seattle) and I'd prefer to keep it within a few hours of home.
So, any good shops in the Seattle-ish area that you'd trust to rebuild a T56? Hoping somebody on here has had a good experience somewhere...
Oh, and it pops out of reverse and grinds 1st to 2nd when shifted over ~4000, if it matters at all.
Thanks
Alex

Jeremy, just pm or email me for pricing/options if you're interested in having some work done. Like I mentioned above, I'll have a very well built T56 available to purchase next week (New: billet keys, carbon fiber blocker rings, steel 3-4 shift fork, bronze pads, new synchros etc..).

Man, I wish I could get a t56 in my camaro easily
I'm stuck with this retarded T5, it is a g-force built trans, but I'm going to be making the max torque it's rated for, really close at least. From there things get too track happy for me, I'd rather move to an auto with a manual valve body than have straight cut gears. The v6 f-bodies came with 4l60e's luckily, so I can do something there. Once I break this trans (not if, when), then I'm kinda at a dead end. There's a reason no v6 f-bodies with a manual have been in the 11's like I'm shooting to do.
