It's a LOT closer than you may think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Inflation=Jimmy Carter=Obama

It amazes me that people don't remember how bad things were under the Carter administration. We had high taxes, high unemployment and high inflation.

I haven't worked for half the year and haven't taken ONE DIME of government money. So much for that theory.. and **** you for even suggesting it.

(b) There's no reason I should have to take a job that isn't exactly what I'm after when I can afford to wait for, and can get, something that IS exactly what I am after. In fact, I did end up getting exactly what I was after, and then the economy tanked and it dried up that quickly. This is part of life.

(c) I believe random **** tests are a violation of my 4th and 5th ammendment rights, so you'll have to forgive me for sticking up for my principles, and following Nancy Reagan's advice to "Just Say No". I tolerated that crap in the military for 8 years because I had no choice... Now I do, and damn it, I'm taking it.

Fact of the matter is.. you have no real argument, and I can't believe you had the audacity to go for something personal based on NO KNOWLEDGE OF REALITY. You'd best do yourself a favor and do your research before you start throwing rocks.. either that, or shut the **** up. I'd recommend the latter.

Ha ha. did I strike a nerve too??? Sure sounds like it.

It's not that close, and the odds are highly in Obama's favor. Even Fox News, the biggest Obama haters of the mainstream media, are predicting he'll win.

It amazes me that people don't remember how bad things were under the Carter administration. We had high taxes, high unemployment and high inflation.
And it's amazing how you don't see how much different 2008 is from 1980.

Yes, I know the neocons are all running around screaming "the sky is falling" right now because the ones who aren't swimming in a vat of Kool-aid realize that Obama probably is going to win, and all the wishing and denial in the world isn't going to change that.

I never said it did. I simply said that it's extremely likely that he is going to win, that really doesn't say anything about whether it's a good choice or not. I happen to think he IS a good choice, but I'm not going to sit here and debate that with kool-aid drinking neocons who obviously get their news of the world from a different reality.

All you have to talk about is the term Kool-aid drinking neocon's.. Why is that? Did you look this term up on Wiki, and thought to yourself, that if you used the phrase enough times that you would sound smart?

Neoconservative: In United States, they align themselves with most conservative values, such as free market, limited welfare, and traditional cultural values. Their key distinction is on international affairs: they prefer a proactive approach internationally that would protect the national interests.

Yup, fits me to a "T", if thats not how you feel, You can go **** yourself.

It's closer than you wish to admit. There is even one pole that shows only a 1 point gap. Which is virtually a tie.

McCain is closing the gap.... reason.... people are realizing that Obama's tax plan is BAD for the country.

Even Obama has recently changed his tax plans because of negative public opinion.... but that is really nothing new for Obama.... he changes his position on any issue to fit public opinion.

That video, and those moments, prove Barack Obama is unelectable.

People can bitch all they want about a war, the economy, the current President...but nothing is as fucked up as not showing the SINGLE most basic sign of respect for your own nation, it's people, and the people who gave their lives to build it.

NObama.

That video has also been disproven as absolute horseshit.

I mean seriously... if something that basic was true and would keep him from being president, DON'T YOU THINK THAT THE REPUBLICANS WOULD HAVE EXPLOITED IT? Or are the so completely incompetent that they are powerless to stop the evil Democrats on even the most basic level?

Wow... you're going to be in for a rude awakening on the evening of November 4th. I'm not even sure where you could GET news that is that far off from reality.

Newsflash: His own people are starting to talk to the press about problems in the campaign. He changes his strategy every few days. Sarah Palin has decided to go off message, and do whatever she wants... the WHEELS ARE FALLING OFF THE STRAIGHT TALK EXPRESS. His chances of winning at this point are very very slim.

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six years the economy was fine.
HAHAHAHA! Yeah, okay. Right. What planet were you living on during those 7-1/2 years?

Bush even had a 90% approval rating at one point.
The few weeks following September 11th, 2001. It was very short lived, and pretty much any president who said they were gonna hunt down the terrorists that perpetrated the act would have had a similar approval rating.

A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%
4) The DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!
Yes, and the financial meltdown we are experiencing now was caused by that large living. The Dow is melting down because of it. Gas prices got ridiculously high because of a lack of regulation, also. Consumer confidence is in the ******* because everyone lost a crapload of money. Don't believe me, ask Alan Greenspan. He admitted this week that his quest for deregulating the financial market was a big mistake.

I have to say, it was really amusing in that hearing when a Republican senator tried to claim that Obama and the Democrats were responsible for the financial meltdown and got SOUNDLY rebuked by the chairman of the oversight committee and all of the witnesses, including Greenspan.

But Americans wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right.

In the PAST YEAR:
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted
2) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase)

If congress has done nothing for the last 2 years, you surely cannot blame them. Not to mention that you just made George Bush's term as presidency 8 1/2 years long.

Remember, the President has NO control over any of these issues, only Congress does.
Except when they're a Democrat. Then it's all their fault. Republicans are not capable of doing wrong, somehow everything bad that ever happens can be tied to a Democrat.

Yeah, right.

I'm sorry, but a lot of us in this country are sick of the neocon talking points, and the belief that only they can create prosperity in this country. It's a load of bullshit they've been feeding us for years and years, and it was their principals that brought about the situation we are in now. You've got a supposedly conservative president in power who presided over one of the biggest expansions in government, practically converting our banking system to socialism, and for a good portion of his term had a Republican majority in the congress... And it's all CONGRESS'S FAULT? And you wanna vote for McCain who just wants to pick up Bush's financial baton and run with it?

What are you smoking?
