Default questions about painting coils

I have some free time this week and I'm gunna try painting my coils. I was just wondering how I should clean them and what type of paint should I use. Can I just use some water/degreaser or brake cleaner and should I use high temp paint or regular paint?
Thanks.

Surprised no one has said anything yet.. I'd probably do about the same process most people use to paint intake manifolds. This should get you by:

Better yet here's a thread that discusses it..

Hi,did mine a few weeks ago. Rustoleum high performance bright red(home depot) primer gray spray paint. I did brackets with rustoleum dark steel metallic. Replaced crappy silver tape with red electric tape and used red plastic ties. I can't seem to upload pics oh I used ZEP citrus spray to clean coils and brackets, just tape off electrical connections

Awesome. I'm actually letting mine dry right now. I did the driver side so far using dupli-color engine paint in red. I also rewrapped the tape with black electrical tape. I think it'll turn out good.
