Default 3M exterior body vinyl...anyone see this...chrome colored car...PICTURES....

Took these today.
I think they said this one was $9,000. Pretty cool, but expensive. It has literally a mirror finish. Protects the paint underneath and it can be peeled off whenever you get tired of it.

It's definitely cool looking. There's a Lambo around my house that's got the same wrapping.

There's a million cool things you can do just doing little appearance things like accents, hood stripes, logos, emblems, etc.....

$9000 to pay and just rip off whenever you get tired, waste of money I should say.

There's a 5th gen like this, ugly *** huge wheels... It does look kinda cool, but there's no way I would ever do this to my car.

edit: The car in this thread looks kinda cool. The camaro is straight fugly.

It comes in rolls. I think its a type of vinyl. 3M makes it and its very very durable. Its cut to fit and put together to look seemless. I think they use heat guns to shrink and stick it to the car. It peels off in large sections when ready. It doesn't just pull right off though, you have to want it off.

Lashway Motorsports C6 Z06 has it in like a baby blue.......looks very good.

Lashway's c6 looks absolutely sick IMO. I've worked with small sections of the 3M wrap, watched a few videos of cars being wrapped also. Its definitely pretty cool stuff

Wow. $9,000 to make your car chrome TEMPORARILY. What am I doing wrong if there are people who can throw around money like that. Then again if we work at it, perhaps we can aspire to such greatness as this:

that gold is nasty! Chrome isn't too bad I guess, but I'm sure there is 9 people on this site that could use 1k. If you want to throw money away, please let me know and I can give you my paypal lmao. How long is temporary? 6 months/1 year? How does after washing? Any special needs?

I can only imagine the hell a shopping cart would cause just by swiping by and snagging this stuff. Friend of mine has the carbon fiber wrap on the hood of his vette (chevette) and it seems to hold up nicely but I can't imagine the smooth mirror finish would last long. Every slight dent would stand out like a sore thumb. On an exotic that rarely gets driven that's also primarily made up of dent resistant materials I say it would look pretty good. Just not on a daily.

I was actually reading about the development of this product over in Russia and apparently they had a ton of problems. One of the workers actually got covered in it. He was really mad but it was actually a blessing in disguise.
