I really dont matter at all. They cover it under the good will program is what they call it but the hard part is getting a GM rep to set up a appoment so a dealership can look at it to see if the cars worth fixing under the good will program.

Thats all BS. I got a call the next day and took it in and got a date to have it ordered.

Everyone should tell GM that you feel your being discriminaed because everyone else is getting theres fixed for free and not me. Why is that. I did and got it done for free.

I'm the original owner of my 2001 Camaro SS hardtop, and it has 74,000 miles on it. I have always taken meticulous care of my car, and am very dissappointed by the fact that my roof has bubbles all over it. After being told by the head of GM Customer Relations at the F-Body Gathering that I was a good candidate to get this fixed by GM it got my hopes up. After that I tried 2 different dealers and even talked to GM Customer Relations about trying to get my roof fixed, but was turned down every time. GM Customer Relations offered me $1,000 off on the purchase of a new GM vehicle. I told them, "I don't want a new vehicle, I want my damn car fixed." Now to make my car right I'm going to have to shell out over $1,000 to fix GM's mistake. Thanks GM! Next time I'll buy a Ford.

Bite your tongue! I know you don't mean that..."buy a ford"...that's funny. No seriously, I am trying to work the issue with my roof panel too. It's kinda difficult since I'm in Iraq for another 7 weeks and am having my wife negotiate for me! If there are any tips out there (like the discrimination thing) lemme know, because they definately are hardasses at GM.

Go through the proper channels and start your case with someone new. Scott Summers will not call you back, because he can not initiate a case from a v-mail. Just imagine that since his name has been posted on these forums, he has received countless messages.

I too left messages with him to no avail, and when I started with someone else they told me the bit about the v-mail messages and protocol.

I went in last Friday and spoke to the head manager at Whitlow Chevrolet....showed him the recall sheet and the car and he said they would fix it at no cost.....just like that they ordered the parts and I will bring in the car sometime in the next week and have it done

Does anyone have a recall # or form for a camaro? I bought another z28 (99) and it has bubbles. Thought it was weird since my 98 never had that problem. Thanks!

It is not actually a recall. It is a technical service bulletin. GM is not just replacing any roof with bubbles. The car had to be evaluated first. With this, GM takes into concideration the overall condition of the car, the mileage, and whether or not you are the original owner when making the decision to approve the repairs.

I just got off the phone with a rep from the GM Business Resource center after I had sent a complaint to the BBB on Friday. Now I have to take the car back to the dealer that has repeatedly denied fixing my car so we shall see what happens. Hopefully this dude will make the difference that the local Rep didnt.
