ahh... aren't those the heater elbows for the 3.8? I sold many of the Dorman metal replacements and tools to help people pick out the broken plastic pieces left after they attempted to remove them.

Pretty common item to replace, found in most HELP! sections of auto parts stores.

The original "Ebony" carpet verus the new "Black" carpet just installed!

I've been wanting a real black carpet in my Trans AM since GM changed colors in 1997. Now I'm happy :-)

Love the true black. Makes the interior "pop" IMO

it formed to the car mostly. if i was to do it again, i would not have gone with the mass backing. that makes it harder to work with and tough to handle and form into place.

I really only did it because I wanted a real black carpet. I'm happy with it over-all.

Bought my first 4th gen. 02 ws6 navy blue metallic with ebony interior. Stock minus a shifter and headers, also already has SLP springs with bilsteins. Clay bar and waxed it.
Did all the normal maintenance (royal purple fluids) trans mount was shot so I installed poly trans and torque arm bushings. C5z brake conversion.
Added a set of 18/19 c6gs spyder wheels painted cyber grey with nitto envo's.
No good pictures with the wheels yet but will get some asap. Love this car so far.

New Double DIN radio with all the toys, black and textured 2x bezel, and of course everything wired properly: dimmer, steering wheel controls, power antenna, parking brake by-pass and amp on/off, along with sub-woofer outputs.

Put my "Q edition" splitter on from 6LE. Must say I'm really liking it so far. It really gives the car a lowered look at stock ride height. Koni str.t's should be here Wednesday, and hopefully Ill have them on by the weekend.

The car is pretty dirty, it sat for 10 days while I was in Myrtle Beach.

Polished up my wheels and sealed them with M21. And yes those are two different wheels, I realized I should do a before and after, after I already did three wheels.

Before

After

Replaced both tie-rod ends with Moog ES3238RL and performed a Front End Alignment. The drivability improved slightly. It was good before and this helped to make it perfect.

Before the parts and alignment, I would occasionally feel very suttle pulls to the left or right depending on the road surface. That is gone. The steering actually feels a little tighter and easier to turn.
