TA lights question
At the age of 19, after waiting since I was 2 years old I finally have a Trans Am. It's in very good shape, a 2000 WS.6, there's only one problem. My headlights don't want to open. I knew one of them needed a new motor, but now the other one won't open either. My right turn signal doesn't blink, but it does come on. My right side running light is out too. I'm not sure if it's just a 10 year old car and could use some more bulbs or fuses or if it's something electrical. My headlights don't make any kind of noise like they're tryin to open. My passenger side headlight was opening fine last night but now it won't work at all. Is it just the motor and fuses? or something electrical?

doesnt sound like the gears are the problem. but if you have the headlights out to replace the motors, u may want to consider puttin the metal gears in the new ones. i just had to replace the gears on my headlight motors. the passenger side was fine, but i swapped it anyway. i dunno how long the plastic gears are supposed to last. its nice to just get it over with, it wasnt real hard, but time consuming and it wont hurt my feelings if i dont have to mess with it again for a while

This might be a silly question, but since they won't open, should I just open them by hand? I just wanna make sure I won't break something by pulling them up before I try it.

Does anyone know where I can buy the yellow stoppers for my headlight? Or what I can do to replace them? It seems my passenger side is missing one and the headlight won't go down completely.

well i went to go check for corrosion, and there wasnt any. i just pushed the connectors tightly together, and it started to come up wen i tested it. i used to the manual **** to get the headlight up, im glad the headlights come up, but it now makes the grinding noise. is it because i used the manual **** that it started to grind?

Is there any way to adjust the motor itself? I think my headlights are closing too hard...I've been having my bulbs blow out very frequently. I think the jarring of the bulb while still hot is causing the filament to break prematurely. Anyone have information on this matter?

uuggghhhh, my '02 WS6 just started making that awful racket when i push the lock button, or when I turn on even just the park lights, the headlights pop up, but don't come on until i turn them on. also, they make the noise when i turn the lights off.... sound like the plastic gear problem? does anyone know if the guy still sells the upgraded gears to replace the crappy stock ones, if that is, in fact my problem??
