Although Dave has probably stopped reading (and for good reason), I think it'd be cool to keep the "Fire-" prefix in it...
Why not this: G8 FIRESTORM
Keeps the "Fire-" name involved, which speaks back to the performance heritage of the Firehawk, but also lets the Firehawk keep its own identity? Then you could take the Solstice and SLP-ize that (Fireball maybe? I saw that posted earlier), and really make SLP cars a brand, an image.
-I think "Firestorm" is a cool name on its own. It sounds powerful to me. I'd fork out the $$$ for one.

I gotta say, I dont get the concern. Chevy ruined the SS badge, that was a much bigger deal. We even have Z51 trucks and Z24 cavilers..I dont see the HUGE FUSS over this. Im not saying give up your fight, but man it seems like a dumb fight. Us chevy boys already went through this. Its done, your input isnt vaild. Theres a freakin colbalt SS...theres going to be a G8 hawk. At least its a bad *** ride. The SS badge got thrown onto FWD economy cars...

Actually I meant the posts on that sight...you guys are doing an excellent job here. But I suspect that SLP has enough pull there that there is a good chance of any negative comments being deleted. They if they are legit and get deleted we will know HPP is in SLPs pocket and if they dont then they are legit.

No, I have no had any instruction to delete any negative comments. This is my section, so I would have been told about if that was the case. I assure you negative comments are welcome, it's the over-the-line comments that are being taken care of, regardless of this being an SLP thread or not.

I mentioned this in the other (non sticky) thread, that going about this new option has to be a bit more subtle than it currently is. The BMW "M" cars are quite good at that.
I personally am not huge on the Firestorm (or Monster heh) name, but it's better to have a less-than-liked name than pissing people off by recycling a legendary name onto a whole different genre of car.
With all the people who liked the HSV Commodore's styling, why not just import a ton of those body panels and massage the Pontiac grill into it and call it the Comp G8...
Just a total crap, rough draft pshop.

meh, just saying 'Formula' is more generic. It's been attached to everything from boats to chryslers. It's a bit more open to interpretation than 'Firehawk'.

This is to David Hamburger, if it isn't really a done deal, how about calling it the G8 Panther and it only comes in one color, Panther Black Metallic?
