From the attitude of SLP, I guess they would have no problem branding everything a Firehawk.
What's next a Mustang Firehawk? Camaro Firehawk?
Just because you can, doesn't make it right. But I guess it's their ball and bat and they can say how the game is played. It's just sad.

i think it ruining the name period. Sorry 40,000 for the gxp model g8 is a bit to much.I'm reading the february issue of motor trend rite now. So for the extra 10,000 you get a 6spd what the g8 gt should have had in the first place, brembos brakes and a 13.0 @109.6? I just don't see paying that. So if a firehawk came out how much would that be? 50,000+ no wonders why gm struggles.

Folks, this is not about dilluting the Firehawk brand or just slapping some decals on a car.
As sad as it is, there will not be another Firebird or Trans Am so that we can do a "Coupe" Firehawk. Once you get past that and understand that we are in the performance business and have a desire to make fun & fast cars, you can understand our business decision to use the brand recognition of Firehawk on the G8. It's the top of the line Pontiac in terms of performance and value, it's a no-brainer on which vehicle we had to use.

.......Im sorry but damm. I own 3 Firehawks(99,10th,02) and I would think the "Firehawk" name would have come to an end in 02 along with all firebirds. Like stated before, people dont even wanna pay the 28XXX with mark downs for the G8 GT much less 50K for the Firehawk version
..Nothing against the G8 GT but they could have come up with another name and had some respect for current "FIREHAWK" owners..

Latest news today is that Pontiac will be slowly starved until it is gone eventually. Dealers around here have stockpiles of G8's sitting around, even at employee pricing minus rebates. I don't foresee any record sales of this "Firehawk", if it even makes it into production...

does everyone think we have been sold out!!! **** gm.. they will do everything for sales... call it a crack *****.. g8crackwhore.. provides everything they need for sales....azzzholes..they need to be pissed on and im totally pissed cause non of them nowadays have anything to do with sport...besides wearing there three piece suites and 6 figure incomes...give it to the japs and call it skyline firehawk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!no respect where its a national tradition of building a true sports car!!!!! i hope gm goes bankrupt before smearing the pontiac name!!

hey niner was just chewed out on some remarks i made out of anger bout the g8 firehawk...damn i thought everyone would feel the same way as i did.. apparently not!!! a four door saloon?? the power plant is awesume ...why not the looks that go with it!! i really am stepping far by saying this statement............... it should go to the camaro?..am i retarded?? since gm is in a pinch??

i just found out about this in my new gmhtp magazine, and i have to say that i am not a fan
i think the firehawk name sould stay with the firebird only
