They had a review of it vs an all stock GTO over the weekend on C&D TV. It was pretty nice to watch an american car do that stuff for a change. And being they havent really dived into the engine too much (head, cam, intake, exhaust and tune) its pretty impressive the stuff they can do.

That same car went up Pikes peak for this years hill climb. The mechanic said it had a lunati 4-inch stroker kit. He also said it dynoed 525 at the flywheel at about 6400~ RPM.

Another interesting thing about the car was some very sharp front fender panels with functional exhaust grills just behind the front wheels, to exhaust engine and possibly brake heat. The mechanic said the body kit is available as a set. For those who have complained that the regular GTO is too "plain" (don't count me in), these would be just the ticket. Hell, Pontiac oughta make 'em stock!
Considering that the car was set up for drifting, not for the hillclimb, it looked great, sounded sweet and kicked butt! Made me proud of my Impulse Blue M6 (which stayed home and out of the hail, fortunately).

dunno where you heard 4" stroker from, last months hot rod magazine had 3 page article on RMR's GTO, if you read C&D article they describe it likewise.
"They’ve added about 100 horsepower to the engine by using Corvette Z06 cylinder heads, a high-lift camshaft, and freer-flowing intake and exhaust systems. Also, the stock engine computer, which manages the unneeded traction control and anti-lock brakes, was swapped for a stand-alone computer that GM sells with its crate engines."
I heard they are using GMPP CNC ported LS6 heads and a LS6 cam. No stroker crank in that goat.

I know Rhys, and Ive been in and around the car(s). The pikes peak hill car, is different from the drift car. The Hill climb car did in fact have a monster setup around the 550 mark. The drift car is now in the 480ish range. Discount Tire Cos little 350horse 240sx beat up on the GTO this weekend in a California drift btw.

Well, I saw their Drifter at D1 grand prix and it was Awesome to watch that bad boy cut up the course - at the time it was rated at about 400 hp. Pontiac is awesome for being the 1st American company in drifting and that same day One of the drift masters took out the Nascar style Viper and was drifting that thing till he put it in the wall for show =P lol. But I think Dodge got the hint that drifting made their car look a lot cooler than a ¼ mile track ever could.

I love the body kit on the GTO drifter. Really cool locking tabs on the hood. They lowered the car 1.5 inches. Better tires and wheels (though street legal). I don't even mind the high ricer wing considering the car has the power to back it up, unlike 99.99% of the ricer jokes out there. They really stripped the car of its creature comforts inside.
I wish I could just purchase that body kit without the paint job and the large "GTO" painted on the side. They did a really nice job turning an already great looking car even better.
