I know there used to be a real low one. I had it about 10-15 years ago. I think it was about 1/2 - 1". There is no way I will remember who made it, I'm too old.

That's not the one I had. The one I used had 8 holes. 4 bolted to intake and 4 were threaded for the carb. It looks like a good idea. The curved studs is something I've never seen before. I wonder if that makes it work on an holly & a dominator intake.
Maybe I misread ur post. I thought u were putting a 4150 on a dominator intake??

I had a 850 on a dominator intake. When I was much slower I tried a 850 instead of a 1050. The car actually ran better with the 850. I was only running 10.20's-.30's. I had a solid cam, so we wanted to try the smaller carb.
If you're sure you need a dominator, then that's the cheapest way to go.
It looks like it has a nice contour. A tip incase you didn't know. You MUST run a linkage plate on a dominator. If you have room, I always run a real wood 1/2 spacer.
I don't like going carb to metal.
Good luck, have fun.

Like I said, mine ran faster. The picture looks like it has a nice contour. I would not worry about it. You can always remove a little metal for the cost of new gaskets.
Why can't you find a 4500 intake, or do you already have one ported & matched to the heads???

I just saw the one I had today at the swap meet. It had the 8 holes. I can't believe the crap we did back in those days. The guy that bought it said he was going to weld it on and then port it.
