Bob is the tru trac the strongest non locking diff? Its not the same as the detroit locker is it? ALso compare durability if you could. I have a standard and I was told optimum would be a 9" but your 12" has a 10 year warranty. Also what are your thoughts on a dana? Any chance of you offering it? I might be in need of a new rear. I think this ones getting trashed again.

The Trutrac is stronger than the Eaton, and it is not the same as the same as the Detroit Locker. Both the Truetrac and the Locker were both made by Detroit, until Eaton bought the Truetrac out from them.

The Moser 9" is stronger than the Moser 12 bolt. Only the Moser 33 spline axles carry the 10 year warranty, not the whole rear-end.

The Dana rear is too new for me to have an opinion, it seems that as many have problems with it as they do with any of the other ones on the market. The rear-end is an abused item with us gearheads, and with the internet lets everyone know when someone has a problem. I recommend going with the Moser 9" rear, it is very strong and will handle a lot of abuse. Thanks for inquiring. Bob

Is there a dis-advantage to the locker? I want this to be the last rear I buy, looking for maximum durability.
Question for ya... If my posi was going would it eat power? I put down 410 on a mustang in feb and only trapped at 108 in july. I've since discovered a broken egr tube on the header and know I was having KR issues but am looking for other reasons for my poor trap speed and wondering if my rear was going would it effect me in that way. I have the stock 10 bolt with 373's in it. Total rebuild about a year ago. I drive it hard.

I have not had good luck with Lockers, as have some other people. The Lockers can lock and unlock causing an uneasy feeling coming out of the rear-end.

The Truetrak works very well, and will take a beating. Bob
