01 WS6 vs 03 Cobra *Vids*
2003 Cobra: Catback
2001 WS6: Lid, Flowmaster Catback, 6-Speed
this is the same cobra that my full bolt on auto 2000 WS6 pulled a car length on so my new car is slower
first race 30 Roll: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...WS6_681762.htm
second race: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...t-2_681765.htm
*That whinning noise coming from my car is the rear end*

yea i guess it didnt do to bad, but i was thinking maybe this car would be faster then my old auto one because its a 6-speed but i was wrong my old full bolt on auto car would pull this one with ease

Mod for mod the auto will be more consistant but the manual if driven perfectly will be faster. Notice the driven perfectly part. It takes a lot of practice to get a manual to do its best.

Your other car had full exhaust. Stock headers and y pipe is choking up the car... I'm sure you know this. I would be safe and go ahead and beaf up the drivetrain first. Then start adding power mods.

A 03/04 Cobra with just exhaust WOULD NOT pull that hard on you PERIOD! He was pullied! When I had the same mods(lid & flowmaster) as you I raced my friends 04 Cobra with X-pipe & exhaust and it was DEAD EVEN until 4th where he would start to pull and this was the same out come when I raced another Cobra. I even have the vid, but my camcorder is to damn old. Good race though!

Your saying your car with a lid and Flowmasters ran mid 12's? A Cobra with an X pipe and eshaust can do it. A pullied one can get in the 11's Maybe your friend isn't as good a driver as the guy who raced the OP. I say respectable deaths OP. He only started pulling you at the end.

When I raced a 03 Cobra with a catback and short shifter when I was stock he pulled me almost just like that. It took a second for him to pull thou like in the vid but then it was a steady pull.
Also, it dont even look like the cobra is shifting, looks like an auto almost, lol.

i just watched ur other video last time u raced him with the auto he had his top down which is a killer also you prob made more power with ur auto then the m6 and you werent really pulling it looked like it was going to be the same outcome but you let off, get some longtubes and a tune and it should be a good race

No, I'm not saying that, but I know for a FACT a exhaust only Cobra wouldn't pull away like that. Maybe my friend isn't as good a driver, but he sure can shift his *** off. You say a x-pipe, exhaust Cobra can do it which is true, but that barely ever happends. I just watched the vids again and he had to be pullied or at least have an intake.

Those results look pretty accurate to me. The Flowmaster isn't doing anything for the car so it's basically stock, maybe a little over 300 to the wheels. When my brother and I raced a catback Terminator in his bolt-on Z28 (full exhaust, TB, CAI/lid, and I believe 3.73s at the time), it was a VERY close race with the Z28 edging just slightly. And my brother's car was a strong bolt-on car. I'm sure he'll chime in.
Nice race, OP. Time for some mods. Full bolt-ons and you should be able to edge him out if he leaves the car catback only (which he won't ).

The outcome of the race is consistent with the mods listed on each vehicle.
Good death OP. It is kind of odd how your auto seemed to be faster. I'm sure after you through a cam in your car the race will be a little different

and i know for a fact that he isnt pullied, and still is on the stock intake he ran 12.7@116.9 on street tires
looks pretty stock to me, and trust me we have some guys that have pullied cobras that come out with us on the weekend and this would have been 7-8 Car lengths if he was pullied
