good runs,
-CTS-V has intake and catback
-EVO has AMS downpipe and catback, intake, hardpipe kit, injectors, fuel pump, tunned @23psi
He got me good from the light, I reeled him in but not all the way.... the launch control is full proof on that thing.
And I bogged like hell , dropped the clutch to low trying not to spin but it didnt work out like I planned
From a roll it was diffrent story.
Enjoy guys!

I love the V8 purr from the Caddy at the end of the 1st race. I tried to get my dad into one of those but he picked a DTS instead because of all the room for his group's golfbags in the trunk.
BTW...That M3 got waxed at the end there. That Evo IX is actually pretty quick for that amount of mods.

that is one quick evo, when i had my e36 m3, one of my friend with e46 m3 raced an EVO from a roll and beat him by 2 cars
Steiner:any idea how much that evo put down? i've raced an evo from a dig and i couldn't reel him until 3rd shift to 4th
here's a video of it, crappy camera i know, my friend claimed he makes around 355 awhp

not mean to thread hijack OP just for comparison sake, btw how much ur CTS-V put down on wheels? seems like a pretty stout caddy

like i said, the M3 "shouldn't" be beaten that bad, stock e46 M3 would put somewhere around 280-290 ish, but they geared for highway so i really have no idea why he got beat that bad..

Hey Ray. With those mods I'd expect a well tuned IX to put down between 290whp and 300whp on a Mustang dyno. That particular IX seems pretty quick though. Usually it takes a little more to pull on an E46 M3 like that. I know with the VIII it typically takes aftermarket cams.

for some reason i always thought evo was a slouch from a roll, but the EVO i've raced and the one that OP raced prove otherwise

Short gearing, the OEM tune and three differentials hurts the Evo on the freeway but it doesn't take too much to improve things. It's certainly never gonna be an ideal platform for roll racing though. My car makes C6 Zo6 power on the 100 octane tune but after 4th gear my *** is grass. Different strokes for different folks.
