2011 mustang 5.0 getting beat by stock ls1

[QUOTE=chavez885;13326435]
Count how many car lengths you get beat by when you run into the new 5.0 and we'll count that as the official "smoked" length.
Guess thats why you're so upset and are pushing your "opinion" so hard about this since you don't "need" to mod your car
You would agree with him. I'm not sure if you knew this but the 2002 camaros were around 30 grand new. You could get them a lot cheaper, though. Look up the 1LE...

seriously, thats a retarded comment. WHO GIVES A **** IF THEY WERE LIMITED PRODUCTION?! they are still PRODUCTION cars! you could buy one from Ford, so it counts. quit trying to fit facts to your arguement!
he didnt say ls3 vette. he said 5th gen ls3. 5th gen = camaro. your reading comprehension skills fail you. ****, you even bolded what he said and you didnt read it right!

The mustang is soo much more pussyfied from the factory i mean even once i finally figured out how to really disable traction control it's still electronic throttle and won't let me really open it up all at once. You would think with 412+ hp and only 255's out back (don't care if they are stickey pzero's or not) i should be able to light them babies up yet i haven't been able to do so yet.
I really need a tune just to turn off the damn throttle lag and then really see wtf is up with this new setup.

would you rather have me use non-factual information?
And it being a limited production car I didnt think someone like yourself would bring it into this argument. Because if you are then the Dick Harrell ZR1 Camaros handed Cobra R's their *** time and time over.
Look what this all comes down to is someones 2011 5.0L somewhere lost a race to a 4th gen LS1. Fair race or not, they will keep happening. Sometimes Ford winning other times Chevrolet. And thats it

whoa whoa, easy there angry guy! I already said the base model 5.0 is 30k. I favor the mustang, and don't think I've ever made a hp/liter argument in my life.

Holy flying shitfest batman. I really like the new 5.0, and as soon as they get a little more common I might go check one out at a dealership. I agree he needed some more time to break it in, I remember my buddy with a GT500 telling me the PCM pulls power for like 250 miles or something to allow the motor to break in, dunno if thats fact or fiction.
LS1 wins this race, maybe next time 5.0 wins. They're all V8 American cars, thats whats important to me.

When did I say anything about your info not being factual? Exactly, I didn't.
Check again. I wasn't the one who brought it into the arguement.
That was not a production car. If I took a '10 SS to Vengenance or HPE or any other shop for mods, should that count as production? No, because you have to give them your car. A Cobra R was a Ford car that could be bought from Ford, the way it was.
I won't argue with you on this. Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for the LS1 fbods out there (see what I drive?), but I agree this WILL keep happening as long as there are bad drivers out there, or extra passengers, etc. "Anything can happen on the street." It just so happens that this is the first documented race of an '11 GT vs an LS1, and the GT lost, which I find absolutely hilarious.

Indeed, glad most of America is back in the game making high tech big power V8s. It's also good to know that I should be able to hang with these guys in my "stock" 3rd gen lol
I will have to give the mustang some credit though, with 2 passengers and already being heavier than a 4th gen it did pretty well. What would that be, about 3500lb/330rwhp vs ~4000lb/370rwhp?
