2011 mustang 5.0 getting beat by stock ls1

I think what he was saying is when the cars start coming out and people are dynoing them at that he will believe it but hes not believing magazines numbers, which is a good thing because magazines are full of ****.

The car Evolution dyno'd may not have been 'stock'. As in off the showroom floor. With close to 370rwhp and optioned out with 3.73 gears, it would have ran well past 110mph. Either that car wasn't stock or the 5.0 weighs more than first tested. Trap speed says a lot.

Really? LS1 guys see one video of an '02 SS beating a '11 GT and they have enough evidence to determine that the GT is slower than LS1 F-bodies, and overrated from the factory?
It seems like a bunch of street racing virgins need wipe up the mess you made all over the keyboard in front of you, and learn about how much the outcome can be affected by driving and extra weight. Learn the meaning of the addage, "anything can happen on the street."
Everything you know about that video is an assumption. Do you know for sure that the SS is stock? Even granting that assumption, what did you honestly think would happen when a 12.8@111 car with an extra 250 lbs passenger, and the non-performance gears raced a car that in stock form has gone 12s@110ish mph? Even if this F-body is a 13.5@107 slow poke, that's still easily capable of outrunning a driver that doesn't power shift, and doesn't stay in the gears to redline. If the Stang owner was shifting at 6k instead of 7k, that's easily enough to allow an LS1 to crush the GT.

This car was from the dealership and wasn't a test car from ford. Still take it with a grain of salt.

38xx with a driver and full tank of gas.

I have one of the latter model 4th Gen's that have the LS6 block instead of the LS1 block. The latter models from 01 and 02 also had the LS6 intake standard. Some say the LS6 blocks are better, others argue that the LS1 is supreme. I know that the LS6 blocks have better oil flow at higher rpms allegedly, but I can't say that would produce any more power over the LS1 motors. Some believe the 02 Formula's are some of the quickest F-bodies in existance stock for stock, so I thought I would offer one up againest the new 5.0 that is out.

it is pretty obvious that the new 5.0 is faster than stock LS1 fbodies.... now where the hell are we going to find a stock ls1 fbody?

That's the main difference I notice between Mustang owners and Camaro/WS6/LSanything owners. Mustang guys will give due credit to a fast GM car, whereas most GM guys turn a blind eye and can never ever ever ever give credit to a fast Mustang, no matter what. Just keep adding to the stereotype
