Camaro SS vs 383 Z28,TL1000R,E85 Evo,30R Civics...vids
to start out, we met up last night to do some local runs. Just filled the bottle so I was all set. It was cold out last night and my bottle heater sucks (was only 875psi all night) but what are ya gonna do.
first up, Me on a 100 shot (camera car) vs my buddys E85 Evo (426awhp,400awtq) and my other friends 94 383 stroker z28 with a 150 shot. 383 stroker ran 11.2 @ 120 on a 100 shot...I am on street tires, he is on drag radials so we had to settle from a 60 hit...

Me, 100 shot Vs Evo vs 400+whp Civic....I was already on the brakes when he "flew by"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHQln817j1w
Me (all motor) vs the Evo from a 30 roll. I didnt spray because I was blowing the tires off anything under 60mph. Evo missed 3rd gear.

Me (100 shot) Vs TL1000 with power commander/full exhaust. 60 roll.

sorry about the shitty video's, but they are good enough to get the point!

Question: was it a TL1000R or TL1000S? The TL1000R is the fast one with a built engine. The R model has full fairings where the S model is only the upper fairings.

what do you mean built engine? He was saying stock for stock the 1000R is equivalent to a 636.

Car seems to run very well and I'd say traps 125+ which is definitely impressive for a 100 shot. Any 1/4 mile times?
FWIW, I DD my car (literally drive it every day) and I have MT ET street DR's (275/60/15s).

but yes, given by the cars im playing with on the highway and the power my car actually makes, I would say its around 124-126 on a 100 shot.

The R has a little bit stronger motor than the S model is what he was talking about. As far as acceleration, that sounds about right. V-twin 1000s like TLRs and RC-51 were about as fast as a 600 class bike today. My RC-51 with exhaust and tune was dead even with my friend's 07 R6 with a full system and a tune. The V-twins make more power but they weigh a lot more.
A TL1000R is noticeably faster than a TL1000S: alot bigger cams, higher compression, bigger throttle bodies, better airbox, etc. They dyno'd higher than any other Vtwin of there era, putting down around 125rwhp bone stock. But was 60-80lbs heavier than a 600.
My TLR destroyed 600's and most 1000's but it was heavily modded to race in the old superstock? superbike? class by a previous owner.

The pic you mentioned above is not visible: I'm assuming you are referring to a R model like mine.
