Default Camaro ss vs blown & cammed 4.6

well it started off going to the track one day with my H/C/I ls1 with a couple of buddies we got the track, we started watching some off the cars start running. so i figured i'd go up and have at it. well it was my first time launch on my 9in and i ended up having massive wheel hop, cutting a 2.5 60ft. so after that one and only pass i pull back over to my buddies and decided to say F$%k it no more for me tonight, well 10 o'clock rolls by and one of my buddies said that he was getting hungry and i thru out the idea of going to sonic where some cars like to meet up on the weekend. we get down there and its just packed with imports nothing really worth the time ya KNOW. so i get bored and just as soon as im saying goodbye to everyone a yellow mustang gt pulls up whistling and i figured id stick around. well abuddy of mine asked me if id run it and i said sure why not see he goes over and decides to talk to him. he told me he wanted to go from a 35mph roll and i was a little nervous and i asked for a dig but he said he wouldnt hook, so then he tells me hes not going to race unless its from a 35 roll. well i was looking for a race win or lose, so i told him what the hell why not. well i follow him out to the interstate with a convoy of about 30 hondas. me and him line up i drop it down to 1st gear from a 30 and we start the honks, then on a 3rd honk we both took off. i instantly jump out a car and a half then by my shut down speed at the top of 4th i was maybe 4 and a half 5 cars on him. then we pull back in to sonic and ofcourse the asked me if i was spraying so i happily walked over to my trunk and pulled the line out from just laying around back there.

Damn that block of text was hard to read. Break it up some next time.

You should be leaving with a lot higher RPMs on a 9", I leave at 4000 on a 10 bolt!! Little more suspension wouldnt hurt either. What was your trap?

Good kill though, what year mustang was it? stick or auto? how many psi?

Lots of M6 guys leave off the limiter with a 9", so it might be worth a shot for you.

damn, are you serious, i have 315 brg DR's and i can't leave over 1500 rpms with out destroying the tires. maybe i need to check my pinion angle also, or are you talking about running full slicks?

There was a thread in one of the drag racing forums (results or tech, cant remember) titled something like "do people really do this" or something to that effect dicussing this. Ill find it later for ya when I get back on here.

Wow was that hard as hell to read.

Your car is still slow, runs like garbage, and doesn't look as good as mine. Be a man next time and make more than ONE pass at the track too. *****.

Anyway, I am sure the car scene is a little bit better down there than up here in good ol' Iowa. Way to hold it down for us brother, ha.

Off topic (sorry) But you can't break into the 12's with a lid, p&p TB, ls6 intake, full exhaust, DR's and stall ?? You should be mid 12's EASY... Is your car running ok ?

Nice kill Mike! Nobody around here tries anything when I'm out and about. Well I guess there was that fwd drive black Impy SS that thought I wanted to run him in the '94 Bonneville. The roar of the single exhaust from the tired 3800 must have screamed RACE.
