Default 02' Firehawk vs. 10'..? GT

DISCLAIMER: I'm not sure if the car I raced was a 2010 or 11 GT. It was definitely one of those because it had the newer style body. I honestly don't know much about Mustangs other than the visual difference is that the 11' has a 5.0 badge on there somewhere. Unfortunately I never got a chance to look because I was watching the lights up ahead (racing on a stoplight highway.. not the greatest idea ). Here goes:

Driving home from a house party with 2 broads in the car. I met these broads over the summer on a trip overseas and they came to stay at my place for the weekend . We went to the party straight from me picking them up from the train station so they had all their luggage and crap in the back of the car. Not a lot of stuff, but enough to add a nice amount of weight I'm sure. I'm minding my own business being a good boy when said GT pulls up on my left. It's obviously pretty new because it's either a 10' or 11' with the body and it definitely had at least a catback or something because it was much louder than any stock 'stang I've heard before. It also had to have been a stick because I heard him mashing thru the gears while we were racing.. credit to this guy cause he at least knew how to drive. Didn't miss a shift and got off fast clean shifts throughout. He pulls up and he's got a broad in the car too. She looks at me and smiles then turns to the dude. **** is ON. We lined up and I pulled off the 3 honks. At the time of this race my car was a bone stock A4 Firehawk (86k) without the exhaust mods in my sig. We raced from about 40-110 and we were DEAD even up to about 100 when he started to pull on me slightly.

Cliffs: raced either a 10' or 11' GT, pretty much a draw. I had 2 broads with suitcases in the car, he had a broad in the car too. Fun as hell race even though one of the broads I was rolling with almost had a heart attack from the race

Sounds like it was a 2010 based on the results and the fact that you are saying "I didnt see the badge" but yet you noticed ever other little detail that happened. Good run either way and like always its fun!

Yeah, I wasn't really trying to ID it but I don't remember seeing a 5.0 badge. Probably a 2010

^^^x2 I agree that for the most part a lid/catback a4 will "should" get walked However, I'm sure it can go either way on the street though and lid/catback fbodys have actually been doing pretty well up against stock'ish '11s, haven't they? There are too many variables to consider for it to be cut and dry, just imo. Nice runs though.

If it was a 10 then you won before you even raced because Firehawk = sweetness.

My guess is a '10 but who cares. Did you nail the overseas girls? 3way!

Sound like nice runs.

What mph did you run from? That could make a big difference.

I place my bet on a modded '10 (exhaust, cai, tune...maybe gears). With the extra weight a 2011 with exhaust should have pulled on you pretty hard.

I wouldn't say all that...With the extra passengers in the car yes, but with just him alone I bet it would be close

Pretty sure those '10s come with a factory CAI, that's how they got the bump to 315hp or whatever.

I am still skeptical to see a stock stalled auto ls1 with exhaust/ lid standing up against an at least lightly modded well driven 5.0 m6 from a roll.

Been into games with 2 different 6 speed '11s now and both run hard from a roll. 1 had 3.55 (somewhat optioned CS, no passenger) and 1 had 3.73 (base gt with passenger).

I don't think they live up to all the hype, but I think a lot of people on this particular site do underestimate them more than they should.

My brother just put an Airraid cai and Evolution aggressive tune on his CS, he already had mufflers and !resonators since last time we ran. Updated videos will be taken when we get a chance (live in different states).

I ran with cars that trapped 114+ from a roll Im sure thats enough to run with the average stock 11' GT. We all already know what my 12.7@109 Lid and Cat back 01 M6 WS6 did to a 11' GT and those mods are close to stock

Ok great. This guys firehawk was not your 00 A4 WS6 that went 12.6@112mph and he DID have passengers in his car. So what does all your analogies have to do with this? Does it bother you that bad?

Good race man, sounds like you had a blast!

Calling chicks "broads" is hilarious. It gets them all worked up usually
