Ed Zachary, mine makes 392 and ive taken out a few 500+ cars. Beating "faster" cars with a "slower" one is a ton of fun.

If I decide to run for the top of the list on the GTo site I may switch to E85. But right now im interested in PG numbers. Happy with everything concidering the problems. **** I picked up 10RWHP with one tiny fueling change and had to stop ending me at the 454 rwhp. All in all a good place to start, but there is ATLEAST 15 rwhp left in there. I dont have enough FP or Injectors for E85 currently.

I have pacesetter longtubes, catless mids, H pipe and straight thru Borla Pro XS mufflers, all true dual 3", 25% UDP, Self ported intake, vararam intake etc.

Nice stuff, im curious to see what it makes after the TPS issue is settled. Yeah thats the only downside with e85. Probably with EWP and E85 you could get really close to that 500rwhp goal you have.

Let me ask this here... If you had $4,000 to spend on a starter car that you would have to daily drive and make decently quick (12 seconds best, mid 13s more like it)... what would you start with, go for, etc

Brand name not an issue. Chevy, Ford, Nissan, etc.

Where can you find LS1s at that price? Autotrader and Craigslist are empty out here. LOL

It will be harder to find, especially not completely ragged out, but a Z28 with maybe a rebuilt title shouldn't be too too hard to find at that price.

If you were looking to get one right away, might not be the best choice.

For 4k you'll end up with a piece of ****. Ive found some LSx cars for that price and its usually a turd. Id just look at an LTx car or foxbody honestly.

I was about to buy a super clean silver 98 Camaro roller for my buddy for $1500

Find a low mileage junkyard LM7 and 4l80e or 4l60e if wanting to be cheaper and rock it for awhile and scan the parts classifieds on forums for used parts

That being said, if I were to ever pick up another F-body, it'd likely be a Trans Am roller for a good price, throw on a ws6 hood, and motor/trans of my choice. Too many overpriced WS6s IMO nowadays. When a Trans Am is going for the price of some C5s, I'd go the C5 9 times out of 10. Even though I think WS6s look much better

Not worth it, you'll end up eating the budget very fast, just on a shell and engine and trans youd blow past half your budget. To have a 4thgen with a stock auto 5.3, it would be a turd. Better off getting an LTx car. Ive seen LTx cars go for like 2500-3000. With the 1000 left over he has enough to add bolt ons or whatever.
