Had a run in with a turbo S2000 I was pulling out of a parking lot and this very clean white s2000 motioned me out into traffic. I immediatly noticed the front mount and thought either he's just trying to be polite or.........he's gonna follow me.
Well he followed me to Mexico
and once on the hiway he kind of ran up on me a bit. So I went for 2nd and took off, he made chase but was falling back. The next exit we chatted at the light and he want to go again. We went from a 50ish roll as soon as we hit it I was out 3/4 car in 3rd I put another 1.5 on him, maybe a bit more. I hit the limiter in 3rd and halted my pull momenterily but as soon as I pulled 4th I was pulling again.
He wanted to go again from a faster roll (turbo guys
) So we went from almost a 60 roll....I let him pick but I'm not into real fast roll racing. We hit it and about the same results in 2nd and 3rd but I did'nt touch the limiter and it got pretty bad for him that time. Probally 3-4 cars with me pulling pretty hard when I shut down.
When we chatted at the light he said he made 300 or so rwhp. The funny part was my friend Jason (03turbomach) calls me after I get home and asks me about the run. So I was like how do you know already? The guy in the white s2000 called him and told him. Well come to find out the little white s2000 makes 400rwhp maybe a little more. I thought he was to close to me to make only 300.

My car has'nt really felt right for a little while. I keep getting a flashing ses light and it actually got up to about 230 degrees on the last run. I put new plugs and wires on it today and it seemed to help a bit.

I will try to confirm the hp today again. So far 2 guys that know the car said 400. I think the owner thought he was going to sucker me into a race where he picks the speed/gear we run in so he lied about what he had.

YA he probably tried to down play what he had since you waxed his ***. I know we have one running around a guy built for his wife. It makes right at 450whp. He said she will not race anyone yet as she is still learning to drive it. He drives a 240 with a 2JZ swap that makes right around 600whp. He claims to be really really fast but have yet to see him race anyone besides a stock C6Z.

I ran the s2k last night. tried to get him to go from 40 but he wouldnt. raced him 3 times, from 60 or a little above. first run i gave him a car head start cause i was trying to get him to slow below 55. He wouldnt so i blow the horn 3 time and off we went. i was at his quater at 125+. didnt come around him. 2nd run i got on the limiter though 2 gears and it was even. last race my girl got out and we got a side by side run from 65 to 130ish. Got him by maybe a fender. He has no idea what his weights. mine is 3485 race weight. And it made 400 wheel with 265 ft kbs torgue. His car is an stock engine on 15lbs. He wants to run you again hio after you get the overheating issue fixed

Nice kill OP. I was thinking that he might have had the boost turned down which is why he said 300rwhp. There's a civic hatch that has a turbo with he claims making 400fwhp. But on slicks he runs 8.5x cosistently in the 1/8 mile. He was talking trash to my buddy about how my SS is slow and he can tell that it's 100% stock. Of course my buddy said no it's no where close to stock but my buddy is a liar. And according to the civic owner my buddy is trying to scare him out of a race to keep me and my "stock" SS from losing a race. Mr. Civic even wants to put $ down on it. Of course everytime I see him he has excuses why he can't race. Ya know "boost leak" "bald tires" "bad clutch" you name I've heard it. This has been my experience with import crowd I'm glad that there are some out there that are cool about it. Maybe I'll find one someday.

You was his first run ever in the car with the new power and he said he was out doing pulls all that night learning to drive it better. Just said it would like try u again and it he would wanna do that roll bs over 60.... He cant turn the boost up, 15lbs on the stock 2.0 is on max for pump gas and all stock engine.

The s2000's are light as ****, a touch over 2500 pounds. If he had 400 rwhp, considering your mods and your making 413, you would have gotten walked HARD. Either that car isn't running right, or he is making 300 rwhp like he stated, which would be more believable, but honestly still be a damn good race. 400 rwhp in a 2500lb s2000 will haul some serious ***. Easily a low eleven car trapping anywhere from 122-125.

03turbo knows the guy and our friend Nathen knows him too so we're pretty sure it makes 400, Nathen says a bit more. Not a uncommen # for them. They actually weight 2800-2900lb according to wikpeia. Not all 400hp is the same I guess. My car should be near 3075....maybe a bit less right now depending on fuel load. So not alot of weight difference and I have a pile more tq.
