Of course it is. But its only a SS option. My 2000 SS M6 had the SLP dual/dual. That car ran strong for bone stock aside from a lid with a paper filter. It out ran a few other stock LS1s and even a couple bolt on auto LS1s. I ran a few Machs and 99/01 Cobras on the street and put them away with ease..also my car is a 2000 so that was with a LS1 intake and these were 01-02 cars.

Not sure about from a dig but from a roll a stock 5spd Mach and A4 LS1 should be a good race.
Here's a older '99 Cobra vs A4 LS1 from a 10 roll...both stock. I think the Mach's might be a little faster up top than the 99-01 Cobra's??? someone correct me if im wrong its been a while.

[QUOTE=MACHXLR8;17393895]A MACH runs harder than a 99 Cobra. Here is a run I had with an 01 Cobra. Similar mods but I had 4.10s. To make it fair, on the first 3 races I started in 3rd and him in second. Me in 2nd was much different.

Realistically most LS1 Z28s were well optioned. You could get a hardtop cloth SS too. Even then weight difference HT to T Top is maybe 20lbs? I've read manual windows weigh within 1lb of electric. My SS weight 3450 with a little over half a tank and some tools in the back. It was fully optioned black leather t tops. TCS power everything etc.

Great example. Gears definitely make a nice difference with 4v's.

Yes Hio...I had 4.10s and he had 3.27s..so that is why I started in 3rd with him in 2nd. The gears played a role in the race, no doubt but the MACH does have the C-heads as well as different cam specs. Our Hp numbers were close but there was big difference in our torque numbers..MACH at 338ft/lbs and the Cobra at 312.
