BMW:

The only automotive company where you will likely replaced window regulators/tracks and cup holders more then you will change the oil.

BMW's are FAR from a reliable car. That's why you see most of them in the trader with right at 50k miles for sale. You would have to be an idiot to own one out of warranty.

That is why if I ever owned a BMW, it'd likely be a lease

Lease would not fit for me because I put too many miles on my cars. Hell, I have put over 11k on my Shelby since November But I would definitely get rid of the car before the warranty ran out.

Yeah I don't put many miles on my vehicles. We'll see if things change when I get my big boy job after college graduation

03 truck has 69k on it

Hm. Look at the difference in plastic material alone. That cheap gray plastic used in the mustang is terrible. Now I will admit, BMW's interior is boring an bland but not even for a second would I think it's cheap. Holds up much better than most cars I have owned even if it looks cheap. Compared toadies or Mercedes, there isn't one. They are both better. But your mustang interior is as cheap as my dodge neons. You want an incredibly nice interior, drive a newer s4. Omg it's ridiculous.

Haha thus is the 2 stroke life. So badass though, so much power and so easy to maintain. Blow for nothing but a retard can put one back together. Love those things, I want a banshee or a cr250.

Haven't replaced these yet and do t plan to until 100k or so. Cup holders? Where did you find that dandy information?

Not true at all. Most go up for sale because they are leased. I own my car outside of warranty without issue. (Knock on some ******* wood) no warranty, no issues, expensive to maintain oh yea, but the best ******* car I've ver owned and driven.

One of the cars I am seriously considering getting next is an E36 328iS 5spd. I found a cherry one last year (sport package, two owner, all documentation, 120k miles), but didn't have the $6k to buy. Maybe this year.

Years ago, I had a Polaris Scrambler 400(2 stroke).. jetted and clutch kitted... outran a Banshee one day when we were out riding.. fun days. Then everyone I rode with switched shifts and our schedules we screwed, so it sat.. and I sold it. Was a fun quad to ride though.

Don't get me wrong.. they are nice cars.. but outside warranty... CAN be a nightmare. I have had a few Lexus' vehicles and would not want to own them outside warranty, although they tend to be pretty much bulletproof as long as you maintain them.

My job is working with BMW interior. Don't try to tell me anything about how their interior is. I know quite a bit more than you on that subject.

Unlike most people on ls1tech... i speak from experience...not google. The slide out cup holders break all the time. Also the only car ive ever pressed a climate control button and it shot into the back seat upon releasing it. Also went to open the car door one day, and the door didnt open...but the ******* door handle was still in my hand. Im no incredible hulk...but really? Door handles ripping off? Windows constantly falling off the tracks? I dont ever need to have experience another one again to know they are not built to last. This was a 5 year old 528i btw.... Awesome car...while it lasted...

Several coworkers own BMWs... One guy always leased new and I swear he drove rentals more than his own car. 328i spent a lot of time visiting the dealer.
