Wow, can't believe this thread got revived. I thought Stoppy was back for a second.

Anyway, I'd be curious what cams you went with specifically. I have been looking for a good set of cams for a while for the 4V mod motor. I keep going back to Comp cams 106400 Xtremes or a Comp cam custom grind. I have some quotes for around $1100 for the cams (new) and about $650 for the install.
If you have any more information for your Power Curve cams, let me know and I will check them out.

yea.. install is not that expensive (I guess)...that price includes dropping the motor. The real cost comes from the four cams.
Now if the cam specs is over a certain lift, the stock springs have to be changed also. That is another expense. LOL

 

**** must suck dick, i remember cam swaps on a civic were a bit more of a mission especially when it was time to degree them in. But **** doing that in a mustang. For the price man id just throw a power adder at it. Almost 2k for cams is just dumb.

 

Agreed, hence why you see so many boosted Mustangs. However, it still cost about $5 to $6K for a SC (w/install and tune) so if you are on a limited budget, you get what you can afford at that point in time. $2k does not look that bad in comparison to 6K.

Edit: Cammed 4V sounds kick-*** too (IMO)
