Mach at the track

One of these days I would love to disassemble my whole car and deflange it. Then stitch weld the seams(that make for a stout unibody) and make a couple replacement panels out of carbon and glue in. It would be a lot of effort but it could possibly make it to the real low 2800's and still be a completely functioning dd. I would probably repaint it 1970 Citrus green. The cool factor would be threw the roof then too.

Who said anything about you? Are you saying your name is "idiot"?

With the quirks my system has I prefer the hydraulic GM crap over the stuff ford gave you guys. Am I alone in that or do you guys actually like that system?

I agree, I broke a few cobra clutch cables back in the day. Than again probably wasn't adjusted right lol. I also hated the slave in the fbody and not being able to shift into 4th at high rpms. Ofc until I got a aftermarket slave solve the problem.

That's not a slave problem. That would be a band aide to fix the problem though.

I think GM is more comfortable for day to day use, but to me has always felt a little too long on the throws for the track. A decent STS in a 3650 is pretty slick though, centers back up nicely, very short throws, etc. Both leave a lot to be desired of course.
