dont do the bumper supports... i did the front one. Took it out and put the stock back in because it was deforming the front bumper. And theres plenty more places to pull weight out of the car that will make it faster...not just lighter.

Hmm definitely don't want the cover deformed.

It's not 2900 even....Automach stretch's the truth like his boyfriend stretch's his ***.

It's upper 2900's when in drag form. Which is really only my drag wheels and the front bar removed. Normal wheels and bar on and it's low 3000's. I have drilled lots of ****. Deflanged and welded ****, bought **** and made parts. All work was done in a very clean fashion and parts repainted. Funny part is most don't even notice. The **** most do like remove the windsheild washer , bumper supports, ac, cruise, rear seats and belts is all there, almost all the sound deadening is still there too....hood still on hinges and oe latched. I don't know about the newer Mustangs but 4th gen's are easy to get to less than 3200...like real easy. Newer cars I'm sure are more difficult. I'm still thinking about getting a little radical ......there is quite a bit left.

Sounds like you did it the right way. I am going to try to find some things to do with mine. But at the same time, it will still be a daily driver, so A/C etc will stay in it, along with front and back seats.

This.

You do that kind of **** at the track, then put them back on before the ride home. They're there for a reason.

To hell with that. I would prefer to drive to the track, throw some slicks on and race. Don't want to have to unbolt this and that just to run.

I've thought about tubular bars on the front and rear but my luck would be some idiot hitting me or even worse a tire blowout on the street. And I'm not going to be like an idiot we all know and drill holes all over my car to save 300lbs.

I think the hinged flaps on the back bumper look much better. It's what I had done on the Evo until I put a full aluminum under tray on the car.

You didn't go to Rockingham with Aaron and crew back in November did you dsmfan95?

We hung around with each others groups a little bit. Jason with the Supra was with them and the guy with the quick SRT4 Neon (silver).
