No excuses or crying from me.

I'm not talking about the '13. It's the asinine statement he made about the ones before that. Hard to get good numbers out of stock? Sure. But that does not change the FACT that there have been MANY people who have run in the 11s with them stock, and more than a handful of people who have run as low as 11.2 with just a tire swap. But he wants to discount it because he hasn't seen it personally, which is 100% ridiculous.

thought that the 13 gt500 on a tire ran high 10's? could be wrong or maybe it was a retune and a slick.

They do, however we were talking about the '11-'12;

For as turdy as you want to believe the ZL is every car ford has made is vastly more turdy.

This is not said to be a nut swinger.....It's said because that's the way it is. It's a fact. A sad fact for some that wants to believe the car is a failure.......but none the less a fact.

LOL Ima have to side with you on this Irunelevens ( as much as I hate saying that :p ) with HIO saying the ZL is better than ANYTHING that Ford has ever made until the 13 gt500 thats a def false! the Ford GT is way better than the ZL1.

They have went 10's on a tire. At almost 130. The 13+ GT500 is best bang for the buck if not looking to mod or not looking to mod a lot. A simple tune alone picked up 50whp and 42wtq in a buddies. X pipe and tune made hair over 650whp. Add a TB/CAI and he can make close to 700whp. Add LT's and pulley and over 700whp pretty easy.

If I can make 700 hp with bolt ons, and run tens with a pair of tires, I'm buying a gt500 over a zl1. If I had either one, it would be no different that it is now, and right now I'm not carving exit ramps, or canyon roads and tracks. And I'm not heading to skid pads. I'm hauling *** in a straight line and doing burnouts which the gt500 does better. I can't complain about a cars interior or performance when I drive a fourth gen f body, and a late 90s suburban. I think I have the nicest interior offered in a fourth gen, and it's still comparable to a power wheels interior.

Pretty much. maybe 1% of people buying these cars are actually go to road course or such events. Every one is going straight. And Interior is plastic in both. I find the mustangs interior nicer then the camaro. As far as room neither have a backseat worth a ****. If want a back seat and muscle car buy a challenger. Or just buy a CTS-V. Hell the interior in the C6 sucks compared to the new mustangs. With and without recaros.

Fact........you don't know those people or wtf they did for a glory run that is 1.5 sec faster than a stock with just tires. Keep drinking the koolaide.

The only way a ford gt would outrun a ZL is in looks.....probably won of the best looking cars ever. Acceleration is comparable and the ZL flat smokes it in the handling department.

So you're just gonna drag race it on slicks and do burnouts........awesome

I thought the Mustang's interior was pretty cheap looking. The 5th gen I had the pleasure of driving was a 12. I know the made some changes in 12 but is was nicer interior and the back seat is more usable in the camaro than the mustang with those corny flipping rear seat head rests. Not to mention the front seat can almost touch the rear seat in that car when moved all the way back.

Nope on all these accounts.

My "extra" hp is pushing more weight, it's called physics.

What does a pre 13 GT500 run off the showroom floor? Best pass I have seen is 12.4s. Hard to find one at track stock these days. Even at Cecil I saw many pre 13s run low 12s with tire and mods.

that's just it. if the zl1 is a turd, pre 13 500's are even more of a turd.

Coming from a dude that runs 14.0s CORRECTED, LOL.

10-12 GT500s are a drivers race for a ZL1. Chevy aimed too low...not Furd's fault.

Pretty sure MAC was referencing the Ford GT supercar, and if you understood that and still wrote what you did...then you are truly delusional. Evan Smith went 11.9@118+ in a stone stock '11 GT500, it was in a magazine, thus, it's scripture. Also, there is a chart somewhere that illustrates all of the magazine tests, and in braking, handling, and acceleration, the the '13 GT500 came out on top in more of the mags than the ZL. Just the facts brother.

This is what Livernois charges to get a ZL1 into the 9s. From yesterday on C5.

No customer driven car has been in the 9s either...
