2007 GT500 640 hp vs 2013 ZL1 670hp

Quoted dyno numbers really dont mean anything, unless both cars were dyno'd on the same dyno the same day. You can't take as fact the posted dyno numbers of these 2 cars as a comparison.

Pretty sure MAC was referencing the Ford GT supercar, and if you understood that and still wrote what you did...then you are truly delusional. Evan Smith went 11.9@118+ in a stone stock '11 GT500, it was in a magazine, thus, it's scripture. Also, there is a chart somewhere that illustrates all of the magazine tests, and in braking, handling, and acceleration, the the '13 GT500 came out on top in more of the mags than the ZL. Just the facts brother.

Just saying in general, posting dyno numbers in racing stories is irrelevent since they arent accurate. For instance people are really thinking this is a 640hp gt500 vs 670hp zl1, when its not and we dont know how much power they are truely making.

LOL at my fellow GM guys holding it down for the ZL1. ZL1 is a failure in terms of straightline performance, sorry. You guys know if the shoe was on the other foot and Ford would have released an underperforming car like that ya'll would be ******* the **** out of it. hehe

Seriously
The only thing that has kept my car out of the 10's has been the rear. The ZL has a huge rear.......problem solved. The rear problem is solved in my car now too . Still sorting it out a bit though......mostly nvh stuff. Seems to put power down pretty good even on a 28* day with normal street tires (nitto 555's)

And your 555's do great on a 28 degree day because you dont have torque we have to deal with. In temps below 60 degrees my car now shreds the 555r's in 2nd gear at any speed. Below 40 and it shreds them in 3rd gear above 60. Near 700ft-lb torque as soon as you floor it tends to do that... but its a slow car.

Lots = 1....that has now been solved. So tell me what ar your list of excuses for that big bad boosted furd only being .3 and .3mph quicker than a little n/a bolt-on ls6. I mean **** you can't even use the displacement crying we always hear about.
I'll wait.....it has to be a hell of a list with over 200 more hp to boot.

Any 2013 500 owner who tracks his car, the FIRST thing they are doing is changing pads and fluid... THAT'S IT. All it takes.

And the only thing keeping my 500 out of the 10's is the 20" tires. Does that mean it is a slow car? Like your above statement.. you think a ZL-1 will win?

The argument changes to show the git'r'dun Camaro coming out on top.
You better believe if the ZL1 was faster in a straight line, it'd be splashed in someone's face any time a GT500 was mentioned.
...and LMAO at HiO saying a 5th gen has better visibility, not even being a dick with the short thing but it must be height related...I sat in a 5th gen and felt like I was in a box with slits for rear windows.
