Dude, AMEN!
I see all this whining over "Oh the Mustang has a SRA and no IRS!", I love the raw feeling of a solid axle...and lighter...
That's gonna be history, anyway...new 'Stangs coming out with IRS, but it looks like kits will be available pretty quickly for the SRA guys. http://gas2.org/2013/12/13/ford-raci...ford-9-coming/

Sorry man......I can see from the back clean out the front easier on the 5th gen. Did you look at the pic?
You gonna post more drag fox bodies? You know the badass dr cars.....the one that the guys who build them should get more credit than that pos chassis.
Times can be every where.....the fact that we can even put those 2 cars in the same realm of laptimes is a W for the ZL.

Fox bodies are amazing drag chassis. The proof is there, that fact that you try to argue differently just makes you look ignorant. Not sure how you can drive those cars and then say the fourth gens handle great. I've tracked a modded 4th gen and it was so much worse than the stock c5z and c6zs I've tracked it's not even funny.
I'm not calling bullshit on your post or anything, but explain this 12 second difference at gingerman in favor of the GT...I'm just sayin'.

Could be
I give those cars mad credit to. The 13 gt500 simply don't handle as well is all I'm saying. It's acceleration keeps laptimes close and throws people for a loop when you say it don't handle as well but can run similar lap times. I would love to see those cars be compared but run 5 laps.

I like the zl1, but they should have stepped it up with the 2014 car. They knew what the gt500 is capable of. I'll take the zl1 over any 07-12 gt500, but the 13 gt500 is just a monster, and that's what I'd want. I also like the rawness of the solid axle. More or a muscle car.
As far as sra vs irs.....I'll take irs.

On the street...the trap is not as important as most around here think it is...

Don't be quoting mag times......only internet times like Icantrun11's. 1
The ZL does flat smoke it in every performance other than acceleration......which is near =. 2
Also the weight difference would not be 900lb. Probably 700.........btw I'll take 200 hp over 700lb any day. 3

2) Nearly equal!? Hahaha! They are further apart in et than the LS1 F-body and Mach 1, and further apart in trap speed than an LS1 F-body and a 2V GT. The fact that you would say something like that is equally ignorant.
3) Haven't you ALWAYS said before this that you would prefer your car to lose weight rather than gain power, because losing weight positively affects all aspects of performance? It's funny how your story changes so much depending on the cars being talked about. Instead of feigning open-mindedness, just admit that you will go to any and all ends to support GM and dog anything else. Everybody else sees it.

ie; "Well Motor Trend only ran XX.XX, so you can't have run that!" Or, "Well I've never seen blah blah car do any better than XX.XX at my track!"

He's basically saying that what other people claim on other sites about what they've done doesn't matter, because magazines haven't duplicated it and neither has anyone on LS1tech. And then somebody showed him a magazine that did it, and he barely acknowledged it of course.

What he doesn't seem to ever realize, is that to anybody that doesn't know him personally...he is in fact just another random person on the internet making claims that some people don't believe.

Funny thing is the LSA worked just fine for the Cadillac CTS-V, which is actually heavier than the ZL1 if memory serves correct. Its more than just the smaller blower. Its an inferior platform. Even with the TVS2300, I still think the Shelby would have the edge in a straight line.

I'm just saying the chassis of the ZL is vastly superior. That butt hurts some for some reason.
