no he runs 16s in the winter, and runs drag radials and 18s both in the warm weather season. I stay on a drag radial year round.

You're not looking very hard. A kid has a HC 5th Gen around here, that I pulled hard on every time we ran... that car was easily capable of putting away any of the 5.0s I've run.

This incessant desire to make the 5.0 into something it's not is quickly getting into 'delusional' territory.

So much bad information about 5.0s... There is about 50-65whp in cam gains and about 15-20 over stock casting heads.

Until someone steps up and makes aftermarket heads for the 5.0 then the only comparison we have is H/C LS3 vs cam only 5.0. What does the average bolt on LS3 make these days?

First, that's not what I said.

What I said is that I've been beat like a drum by quite a number of Mustangs... all of which were HEAVILY induced, the worst of them running dual turbos and, all of which were at the track. Those guys were crazy fast... running low 5s in the 1/8th.

Second, you're correct, I've never been beaten by a Mustang on the street.

With regard to worries... while the list of such is extensive, the '5.0' is not on the list.
