Not really....they need sleeves to do it. It don't go there willingly. It's like saying a ls engine can get to 500ci.

351 is more than 302. Those 49 inches would add up to quite a bit given what the coyote already makes for it's size.

Who are you calling a dumbass i just pointed out the fact that 351 is pretty much it for a stock block 5.0. I could give two ***** less about a bigger block. I don't need a bigger block to peel the paint off a LS3 Camaro

Like I said if a 302 maxes out to a 351 anything larger will have to have a larger block...So when you have a dohc head it takes up more space..compare a coyote 351 to a Ls7 and tell me which one is bigger in size..

The 5.8 GT500 motor. I agree...the goofy code names are just that.

I didn't say anything about how much displacement would increase, just that there was, in fact, room to grow. And when you're throwing down over 1.5 hp per inch to the tire...that **** adds up. (Referencing a bolt-on car like Evan's, not stock).

If you knew as much as you think you do you would know that is a different block with a taller deck. Think of it more as a bigger 5.4

I have seen absolutely nothing stating that the 5.8 has a taller deck than the 5.4. Would you care to provide some evidence?

No.. you said displacement has nothing to do with block size..Let me ask you this and I will rest my case...can a coyote 5.0 block be sleeved to the equivilant of a Ls block?

5.0 L Coyote[edit]
The 5.0 L (4951 cc, 302 cid)[10] "Coyote" V8 is the latest evolution of the Modular engine.[11] Ford engineers needed to design a V8, specifically for the Mustang GT, that would compete with the GM 6.2L LS3 used in the new Chevrolet Camaro, and the new Chrysler 6.4L Hemi ESF in the Charger and Challenger. This engine had to remain close to the same physical size of the outgoing 4.6, and share other specifications with it such as bore spacing, deck height, bell housing bolt pattern, etc. in order for the engine to utilize existing Modular production line tooling.

5.8 L[edit]
The 5.8L (5808 cc, 354 CID) DOHC 4-valve Modular V8, dubbed Trinity internally by Ford, is introduced with the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500. The 5.8 L's bore and stroke are 93.5 mm (3.68 in) and 105.8 mm (4.165 in) respectively. The Trinity is based on the 5.4L V8 used in the previous model year GT500, utilizing the same block geometry but receiving a 3.3 mm (0.128 in) increase in bore diameter.

Assuming you already know that a 4.6 and 5.4 have different deck heights....maybe you didn't. Leave it to a chevy guy to school you on it.

Butthurt from what? what car does a 5.0 coyote come in? What car does a Ls3 come in? that's right a Camaro, and vette..Now can a mustang 5.0 beat a base Ls3 vette? The answer is no,so where is the butthurt?

BTW....I did not say it had a taller deck than a 5.4. It has a taller deck than a 5.0. He was tring to say the new 5.0 can go to a 5.8 because of the trinity.

I was under the impression that you were talking about there being a deck height difference between a 5.4 and a 5.8. There was no "schooling." And of course I know that the 4.6 and 5.8 have different deck heights.

Why do you insist on comparing the Mustang to the Camaro? That is what makes you seem like a butthurt teenager.

Fair enough.

He was saying that you don't have to increase the block size to increase the displacement.
