Has to be solid. its stockish on all older Chevy's and the blue springs will limit it to 570 lift.

My car is about about 10 lbs / hp which isn't that great. I don't think stockish 80s street cars should be able to run lower than a 12.5 most likely everyone will be around 13.0-13.5. With some passes under their belts.

Since each 100 pounds is supposed to be .1s in the quarter we could take weight completely out of the equation.

I think you're right on the times. But the street cars theme still stands. No gutted junk. Stock interior.

You would have to destroke a 307. 305 has a bore unique to itself.

307 = 283 with a 327 crank

I agree.

Handy - I agree with hammer, 570 is a lot of cam for a street car. That much cam would make the idle so bad you wouldn't want to drive it in town.

If low 13's is a well thought out 305 street build Snake may as well stay bolt ons/suspension. He is going to be doing some damage with motor work.

Chevy never had a 302 or 307 in the 80's. You're basically stuck to a 305.
