The only thing beneficial about shifting past the rpm where a motor will make most of its power would be to account for the rpm drop during a shift. Spinning the motor past that point would be counter productive to the performance. The cam profile in the 4V would not continue to produce power after ~6300rpm.
After replacing the cams though, I noticed that power continues up to redline at 6800rpms...and further. Personally, I just do not shift past 6900 so I do not break **** but it still wants to pull. Currently, I have the rev limiter set at 7100 at which point the motor will shutdown.

430s will make it feel like a different car man. I know people got annoyed by Stoppy, but his Mach DID move out very well for the mods on it. 430s in his I believe.

I know. He is talking about spinning the car 800 RPM past his peak. Two things, a typical B head motor wont make power that long, and 500 RPM past peak is the best. When you stay in it that long, you're wasting time.

Bingo. The whole idea is to keep the car near peak power at all times.

Agreed with both these statements.

I have ever heard people go as far as having different shift points as they went through the gears. I could possibly see this helping somewhat BUT I would not think anything substantial. Not sure??

As a matter of fact, I remember reading some threads that some were installing either Raptor or MSD Shift Lights which allowed for multiple rpm setpoints to be entered.

If I had Ballpien Hammer car I would run an S trim at 8 psi, built 8.8,Cyrotreated T45,full exhaust, big fuel pump and a good tune on MTs. I would slay as much LS trash as I could and message Hio everytime I did.

Hell no do not ls swap it. That cobro has a teksid block. Forge the bottom end (the rods are tiny), delete the IMRC set up and let it eat with a blower.

Boost = most cost effective way of making ford DOHC motors fast.

Especially on a B head. You can make decent NA power on a C headed car, but boost is the best option on the B head.
