Here's some perspective on what some of the 5bro crowd wants us to swallow.
Say the 2018 mustang GT comes out with some major improvements and runs an 11.3 @ 121 mph stock on stock tires by 4 people within a couple months of its release. That's nice...not far off a stock 6g. Really won't notice that with most people...I'll add a CAI and take one...
I can't fathom being biased or blinded enough to call that a close race or keep stirring the pot. That is what the 18 GT will have to run to equal the current disparity between best stock runs of the s550 and 6g.

I don't know, unless if there is a significant drop in sales, I don't see them moving much. Chevy finally got some 2016 Camaros rolling out more doing the 0% for 72 months offer.
Edit: I don't know, now I look at it again. 7k units in US in April, 6k in May, and 5k in June. Not a good time of year for sales in the pony car world I guess.

If your calling me stupid then your calling yourself stupid and that's just stupid.
Title at the tippy top in bold clearly says gt350 vs sis gen. I guess it's ok to allow yourself special treatment to disregard your own strict rules.
Oo, and still no answer to my question huh? Figures

I know they are. But serious question: do you think all things equal that a VVTI LT1 is gonna gain 66 more horsepower than the existing LT1?
So you basically want GM to build an LT1 that's DOHC, 32v, flat plane crank V8 with VVTI, 12.0:1 CR, rev to 8250 RPM, and have a forged bottom end. So basically a Voodoo with 1.0L more displacement and a GM stamp on the engine? I mean if the Voodoo was a whole new block that's 6.2L it could easily make over 600hp. Bump up to a 9k red line, more aggressive cams, and tuning could easily put a 6.2L Voodoo in 650hp range. The current Voodoo is actually pretty tame driving around town. It has a heavy clutch and flywheel assy like the 6gen does.
It'll be interesting to see if anyone ever builds a Voodoo. I wouldn't expect a big aftermarket since the production numbers are tiny.
A bench racing speedo video doesn't really mean anything, you already know that man.
It doesn't outrun the GT350 and certainly doesn't outrun the R.
I wouldn't be surprised if they made a hotter version of the LT1 for the new Z/28. I hope it's at least 500hp.

Why would i want gm to build a Voodoo? Push rods can rev to 8k easily. Flat plane lt motor would be cool. Lingenfelter fid a flat plane ls and made stupid power with it. If gm did that there would be no contest from furd.
I think furd may have a h/c set up for the voodoo.
Normally bench racing speedo is cheesy. But when they are timed to start side by side on 1 screen it does hold a small amount of merit. Neither is significantly faster than the other so it seems. It's a competitive race.

They have room in the Coyote to do DI. Also could bring the A10 down from the Raptor. Your crossplane 5.2 V8 idea sounds good as well.

It's not a 1 change anything gonna equal 66hp. Besides that 66hp is not so large when the lt has tq all over the 5.2. Evidence of how the both accelerate.

You said if GM threw everything at the LT that Ford did. A destroked LS7 with modified top end and bottom end has revved to 8k, sure. Considering a new LS7 was a $17k motor alone, ZR1 engine was $25k? I think. It just doesn't seem feasible for GM to build that kind of motor to put into a production car.
Yeah I saw that Lingenfelter flat plane LS is one badass engine. But as I said above, I don't think GM can justify the cost of such an engine going into production, even so it's not like Ford couldn't build an equal one.
The Camaro launches before the GT350 in the speedo race and who knows where those videos were shot. Just not good data.

I see S197 erewhere and 5th gens erewhere. Literally no 6th gens or s550s.

There are no tire only stangs at my track, they are all racers and mod up right away. And yes the majority of them are faster than the tire only vettes. Got a tire, toon and CAI 2014 GT that runs 12.07 at 114.33.
