Never had an L33, so I can't comment on that. From what I gather, they dyno around 265HP, which is a tick lower than the hemi. I know that your 6.0 2500HD is a high 16 second truck, and my hemi ram is a high 15 second truck. Heck, the regular cab hemis are low 14 second trucks.

If it's about torque, why isn't every performance car running a diesel? Or a 455 olds? Because it's not just about torque.

My 2500hd ran a 16.1 bonestock. I have run 1500hemis from a roll. Pre 8speed ones are close but lose. Now how the **** do you think your favorite engine would fair in a similar truck as mine?
Hell i raced a rcsb hemi from a roll....he had some pretty good mods to. The last time we ran he even had a cam. It ran 14.2 or 14.4. From a 25-30 roll I had a half truck on him till 85 mph. If i woulda put my stock wheels on instead of running him with 33x12.5 17s he probably would've never caught me.
Here's a hint.....not very ******* good.
My uncle has a 5.3 rcsb 03 silvy. Neighbor had identical truck but hemi......hemi got outran. Both stock
My cousin had a 5.3ho rcsb gmc with 4.10gears. Those are very stout running trucks. My stepdad had a 5.3ho ecsb with 4.10s to. Only way a hemi is gonna outrun that 5.3 is if it's geared high and the hemi geared low. Maybe not even then if the driver has a clue.

From the times they ran he coulda beat that cobro on any run.

Anyway, here is an SS running against a regular cab Hemi. Hemi has 500lbs on the SS, but the SS has AWD traction and better gearing.
SS 14.99@89.05
Hemi 15.11@89.06
Less than 1/10th of a second and identical MPH, with the Hemi closing the gap all track. That's an LQ9.

Oh, and here is a 2500 hemi ram running 16.2@85, which is better than any other magazine tested LQ4 2500HD, and only 1/10th behind your record imaginary time.

Classic case of great motor surrounded by too much weight. Put a 5.7L hemi in a 4th gen camaro, and I think it beats the LS1. Hell, if you look at the 392 vs LT1, the 392 has 30-40 HP on the LT1 at the tire, it's just stuck in the fat *** challenger.

i wont be racing friday unless the track will ignore that i dont have a overflow. i think im going to ziptie a plastic coke bottle with a hose into it. ill see if they will let me run.

My local track didn't have a problem with an ozarka bottle on my old 70 cougar. ****, one of my local 1/8th mile tracks doesn't even have a tech inspector.
