SOrry.....did someone mention mach 1s?? LOL

I will gladly answer any and all questions....that I know the answer too.

Maybe a new thread somewhere else?

4V....under -rated......And the ONLY similarities the cobra nd mach's have are crank, and heads/cams.....that's it. Cobra has forged internals and a cast iron block. The mach is alum. and has powder crappy rods and pistons.

and I am one that through on a blower on my mach......just need to Forge it....and 575 RWHP here I come.

Yes, auto vs. auto the LS1 will win everytime because automatic Mach 1s are ****. The AOD Ford cars are much slower from the factory anyway, plus auto Machs have literally 1000RPMs LESS to work with than the 5-speed ones(5800 vs. 6800 redlines, respectively).

I would agree, though, that an M5 Mach vs. M6 F-body is pretty much a drivers race.... I've shown lots of LS1s my taillights; and I'd definitely say I have many more victories over them than losses.

If you read the few posts before I made that one, you will see that somebody else asked how much hp the Mach 1 had, and somebody else posted specs for it, so I threw in about how quick it was. But I guess I'm trying to start ****...

If you're talking about Jenna's GT it's an 04 and yeah I've never seen that car be quick in any way. I was side-by-side w/ it all the way through 2nd in the Z24 when Brad was driving it then he started to pull a decent amount but not nearly as much as I thought it would.

A Z24 is going to be WAY behind a 5spd '04 GT by the time you hit 60-70mph...

Well by the time we woulda hit 70 he prolly woulda had a decent amount on me but we went to just about 60 cuz as soon as I hit 3rd at like 55 maybe he started to pull pretty decent so I just let off since it was intown anyways.

Was it a 5spd? Cuz using magazine 0-60 numbers (which I HATE doing), the Mustang is in the mid 5s, and a Z24 is in the low 7s...

Yeah he's the one with the 96 Cobra that Kingsnake99 was talking about. And he can't drive that car worth a ****. The only reason that he never loses races are there aren't any fast cars around here. Anyone with a stock LT1 would probably smoke him in his Cobra.

i agree...he cant drive to well but i know that Z24 can run with that GT through second gear, thats why it does not impress me too much...that GT looks alot meaner than it actually is...and from everything ive seen from them, i dont think theyre overly fast...and Travis youre right there arent any fast cars, thats why it looked like he wanted to cry when i monkey stomped him lol

a roughly 235rwhp 3400lb RWD 5spd car is not going to have any problems with a Z24. My old GS-R would destroy a stock Z24, and it was nowhere close to a 99-04 GT.

Then what did you have done to your GS-R because I took one from a 50 roll to 110 when I hit my limiter and he had exhaust and CAI. Z24's aren't that bad, I took one of my friends Dakota R/T's w/ the 5.9 a few months ago. Barely but I still edged him out.

Then that driver was ****. Mine ran a 14.97 @ 93.82mph with nothing but a muffler on it, with 152k miles on it. And yes I have a timeslip. No Z24 would touch that stock, especially as speeds increased.

Z24's are slow but not really as slow as you think they are. Low 15's are pretty acheivable and against a GS-R it's pretty much a driver's race. The 1.8 DOHC VTEC motor isn't that great.

im leaning with travis on this one...ive seen that Z24 walk 5 litres and beat the 3.8 Camaros to the rev limiter...and not to mention against my Pony (232 hp) had me for the longest time...and ha sbeaten the 4.0 mustangs also...whether you want to believe it or not, that Z24 is no slouch if youre not careful......not to mention we didnt say that he beat the GT, just bottom end that cavvy ran right with it until third gear...which was damn near 60 mph

And you say you have numbers of my car for 0-60 and I've searched everywhere and can't find them. The only numbers for a Z24 that I can find anywhere are the 2.8 V6's from 1986.
