Default GSXR 1k vs 01 408 WS6

I was coming home from work, turning onto F Hwy by KK pass. I see this sweet look yellow bike with exhaust and extended bar for the rear tire sitting at the light as I turn I give it a little gas to see if he'd want to play. Well get get down the road some no traffic in front of us he is crusing beside me and he downshifs 2 gears so I down it to 3rd around 50 mph and we both take off he is beside me for a second then I just end up leaving him about 2 cars behind when I got out of it.. Now the thing is I had the T-tops out and a passenger with me.. Damn I love those MTs!!! I tried to see if he wanted to go again but he gasses it and weaved in and out of traffic. So I think its say to say he got Sweet bike though by all means. I was very thrilled, impressed, etc and wishing I could have been able to record it..

He wasn't racing or he can't ride. You cant beat that bike expecially shifting to 3rd @ 50. Not trying to bust your ballz, but back to reality.

if it was a gixer 1000 it was a 1992. More then likely it was a newer 600.

Also I tried to get him to play again thinking he had a bad run or something but he started weaving in and out of traffic and ran away. I would have given him another chance or 2. So anyways.

Even with 500rwhp, I don't see you beating a 05-07 GSXR 1000, but anything can happen on the street.

Good kill!

It SURE as hell wasn't a newer 1000!!!!

Even if he sucked riding at 50mph in any gear a new 1000 would leave you in the dust. I own one (k6). You could put a 300 shot on your car and you still wouldn't be close to what a new Gixxer 1k can do (especially from a 50mph roll with the bike stretched). Mine is just lowered and at 50mph I can keep it down and the bike feels like it wants to rip your arms from your shoulders. Maybe you ran into a carbed one.

I've ran several bikes and just don't see you having a chance with a liter bike. Generally around 500rwhp will take a 600 but no chance with liter bikes. When liter bikes try to get me to play I don't even waste my gas as I've had them leave me like I was standing still too many times. I think there is a member here that has run his buddies 04 R1 and with around 700rwhp it is a very close race.

On this account, you still deserve the win. But honestly, the consensus of the replies to this thread are spot on; you cannot take a liter bike with your mods given equally skillful driver/rider. You'll come a hell of a lot closer than me, but a liter bike in is a class of its own on the street.

Man I wish people would stop posting bike kills because the phrase "anything can happen on the street" gets thrown right out of the window for phrases like "you can beat those" and " you beat the rider". Gets really annoying.
