hey Alchemist, where did you get your rotors from, are they Brakemotive ones by any chance? i still have not put this setup on my T/A, but i got the Z06 rotors. after reading into the contact patch with them, i have decided to go with the 2010+ rotor.

Also, Brakemotive lists their rotors as a 2010 and a 2011-2012 model, is there a difference in the rotors for these years?

here is the link where i read this:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-s...ices-ever.html

i dont really want to spend $200+ for new rotors, i still will have to sell my old Z06 rotors.

Honestly, I don't know the difference in the model years for the 2010+ camaros. I did get them from brakemotive, maybe they can chime in.

There is no difference between the rotors, just the front pads.

Nice I like very much how most of it is pretty much bolt on. I've created a few setups for the gto utilizing both the 4 piston & 6 piston ctsv brembos and tried to make it as bolt on as possible as well, if anyone cares to check them out:

My CTS-V brembo bracket to fit stock 17" wheels thread http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=454448

My stock 18's (some 17's) Cts-V brembo bracket thread to fit stock http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthr...821&highlight=

My 14" V Brembo Bracket Thread http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthr...=1#post8776872

I can't find replacement cross over lines for the 6 piston front brembos, was wondering if anyone knew of a supplier which does?

The only thing that needs to be done to the camaro rotor is to have the hub opening opened to fit the f-body, which shouldn't be a big deal. Call around to local brake shops and you should be able to find someone who can do it for you. I was more interested in having it done than shopping around for the best price.

I understand it would be nice to have a 'complete kit', but this is hotrodding, and sometimes that means going on a scavenger hunt finding peices that complete the puzzle.
I like puzzles.

Quick question:

I just bought some russell lines for my 99 TA (all 4's with tcs) and was wondering if they could be adapted to the front ctv calipers in any way?

If they dont im going to return them!

Default 06 cts to ctsv brakes

Im looking for info on how to install a set of ctsv brakes off a wreck onto my 06 base cts. I obtained the original ctsv spindals, calipers, rotors, and stock ctsv wheels. Is this a direct fit?

Might be good to get an updated writeup with latest best setup for the CTS calipers (i.e. now with 2010+ rotors, etc.)

Once I have the funds to buy new wheels and tires, I will be purchasing and performing this conversion for the fronts.

This thread is really informative, I didnt see anyone do the conversion on any cars other than gen 4s tho. I recently purchased fronts and rears 2010 ss brembo calipers and rotors for my car and wanted to use them but I was hoping to get some direction from the community online here. So heres the scenario and what I know right now : I have a 69 Camaro that came with front disc and rear drum, I originally bought gen 4 ls brakes but stumbled on a 2010 ss brembo set, rotors and calipers, brakes pads were in them aswell. I didnt like the color so I used the g2 paint kit to paint them red ( my brembo stencils should be here any day now) I understand I have to have a 18 inch wheel so Im not ready for them yet but I wanted to clarify what all I need and if this would even work. So I found flynbye.com and talked to him briefly about the set up, he told me that I need his bracket and to have my rotors machined to fit my gen 1 hubs, or I could get some rotors from him that would be slotted drilled and work with no machining. I never heard back from him so I am waiting to hear more about the rotors. ( I know hes very busy, not talking smack just stating the facts) I guess what I need to know is with my car can I use the brembos in front and the ls brakes in the rear until there is some kind of mod made for thr e brake? If so will there be a problem with brake pressures or is there no issue at all? I noticed the eibach spacer used in the thread beginning of this thread and wanted to know would that or something similar be needed for my car? And how will my offset change? I understand if some of these answers are not out there yet but I figured this would be the best place to ask, on Camaros.com it seemed like I asked a question about alien technology or something. Thanks in advance guys for any and all help, it is greatly appreciated. Please forgive me if these answer are already out there and I missed them, and sorry for hijacking the thread, my bad.
