Well, my 1LE came with Koni DA shocks. But I see you are talking 99. That would be a darn good price for Koni DAs wouldn't it?

With no part number its hard to tell, but by the price they probably are.
And the price is for the rears only, so no, its not a very good price at all.
Stranoparts has DA rears for $360.
Don't know why you want the DA's though, and you'd be REALLY missing out if you got rear only and not fronts.

Aren't the Koni's $360 each?

These are $444.xx for the pair.

Hmmm, yeah didn't realize it was $360 each, damn... If I were you I would call the GM site and make sure they are Koni DAs before buying, Id be pissed to spend that kind of money and end up with decarbons or bilstiens.

Probably will have to call. I was hoping someone on here would just know what they were.

Just thought it was weird that they had a column for "without performance" and another "with perfromance".

So why not single Koni's which are less than the deCarbon's that aren't adjustable, and probably aren't even the 93-95 1LE valved ones? Doesn't make sense to spend more for less shock, maybe I'm crazy....

So are you saying these shocks aren't even as good as single Koni's and are more expensive?

I was just trying to figure out what they were and if they were an upgrade from stock but doesn't make the ride quality harsh.

Probably should just give you a call to talk about what I'm looking for. Would like a shock that is very comfortable for DD but will help a little at the drag strip over stock.

Thanks for any help

I guess it depends on what you want to do with the car. Will you need to adjust the compression to different settings multiple times? Aka if you make serious unsprung weight changes to the rear end or maybe doing various types of racing. Even if you do, the single adjustables are better for most people in this category anyway.

I think there may be differences in the internals also that makes the single adjustable better as well.
