800+ whp Traction Dreams (HELP!)
For the past year or so I've lost complete interest in this car, the main factor being that I got tired of blowing the tires off the car whenever I put my foot in it. While I understand it's not going to dead hook and pull the front end off the ground on the street, I would expect a little more traction if I put some work into the suspension.
My current set up is pretty horrible, old/worn out KYB adjustables on stock springs, 100% stock front suspension... The rear does have; (all sphon) adjustable torque arm, adjustable panhard, non-adjustable lower control arms, but I do have the relocation brackets on the 9", and the heavy duty anti-sway bar.
I have zero interest in breaking the bank trying to get this car to act a little nicer on the street... I realize I have work to do. What sort of shock/spring setup would you recommend, and what can I do to the front end to help weight transfer?? Thanks!

What position in the relocation brackets do you have the arms in? Is the torque arm still on the transmission or on a separate crossmember? It sounds like you would greatly benefit from a decent shock and spring combo at your power level also

Time and tweaking is your best friend. Adjustable components will make it an easier process though and a shock upgrade as well. Without spending a dime check pinion angle, LCA location, tire pressure, and even tire age.
A lot of times people over look tire age as an issue and it can be the number one issue in many instances.

I dont remember which position the LCAs are in, I can check tomorrow morning... I *THINK* they are in the lowest. However, the torque arm is on a separate cross member, not on the trans.

With that being said, It sounds to me like your best option would be to upgrade the shocks and springs. A good coilover is your best option. But there are a few other proven and cost effective combos that work as well. Give me a call and we can discuss some options and see what would be the best fit for you
