Default check this out! loud clunk/thud noise

so i have been reading for a while now about this thud/clunk noise. havent really found much about guys fixing this issue. i have a 01 ss camaro. i too have this loud annoying noise coming from the rear. Every bump i hit. its loud. Well i checked everything out and i even switched out rear shocks and coils (had agx shocks and bmr lowering springs, i switched to QA1 shocks and stock coils) thinking this was it. It wasn't. So i got underneath the car last night again searching and searching. One thing i did find was the upper pand hard bolt was hitting the coil. which was stuck under my coil. i am going to test it out today and see if this helped my issue of the loud clunk noise. I just wanted to post this so other people can check it out and maybe it will fix this annoying noise on the passenger side. my car is still noisy since i have a aftermarket torque arm but my main problem was a thud noise from the passenger side. if this solves the issue ill post back on here to confirm.

turn bolt around..so that the head is on the spring side. it will have plenty of clearance then to the coil spring. The thread and nut on the other side then doesn't matter as there is nothing to catch on that side...

Well that is possible but you will have to take spring off in order to put that bolt in. Easier to just grind it down.

you should be able to put the bolt in with the spring still in... just let the suspension droop and you can fit it in between the coils

YEP it's easily doable with the suspension unloaded when jacked up. Had mine in and out just the other day searching for the cause of a clunk

Yea see i guess you could do that at the time i didnt have car jacked up. So your suggestion would work. Well i did get rid of the thud noise though. But my adjustable torque arm bolt was loose and that fixed another noise as well. So this problem i had could have been from this bolt.
