Would it help at all if I got some Relocation Brackets with my car the way it sits now or would it be better to go HAL's all around with regular springs in the back...??
What kind of springs are the best for drag racing in the rear?

I will need a softer setup in the future to get the times I want...
My current setup is the Bilstein Suspension from SLP...I ordered it with the car...rides great handles great, but hinders drag racing performance because of the lack of weight transfer...
I eventually will go HALS in the front, but whats the best to do with the back??

Probably V6 springs.
I don't think you'd have to worry about getting TOO MUCH weight transfer (like PSJ) because you won't be making as much power.
However, your car will squat like a ***** with HALs up front and V6s out back...

BIGBOS,
The ultimate drag race suspension is pretty much what the Stock Eliminators are running. Hal Shocks and springs up front. Stock Torque arm. Pete Z bars (above the stock lower control arms). Hal Shocks in the rear. Stock Springs. Airbag under RR spring.
These guys pull 1.30 60' times on 9" radial slicks with out trans-brakes (for automatic cars). The stick cars run the same set-up. This is basically what Judson Massingill is running in his 3400 lb 9 second stick shift F-Body. He cuts 1.3X 60' times with 8000 rpm launches. If it works for him (and the stockers), it will work for you.

For a little more $$$ than the HAL stuff, you can go with Afco shocks, which are double adjustable (rebound and compression) instead of the single adjustment on the HALS...
If I had known Afco made shocks for our cars sooner, I'd have spent the extra money over my HAL stuff (which I do like, though).
Just a thought.

A little? They are double in price from what I've seen $373 per shock. You must have a connection

Yea, I will go with HALs all around and might put Eibach lowering springs in the rear of the car to make it a little more squishy the airbag is a good idea though...

BIGBOS,
You don't want the rear end to "squat", you want it to rise on launch. This rise will push the body up which in turn plants the rear axle harder to the track. Squat soaks up power and doesn't plant the axle to the surface. Be carefull taking advice from guys who aren't running 1.30 60' times or better when you are looking for the "best all around drag racing suspension". There's a world of difference in what's required to get 1.50 60' times and what's required to get them down to the 1.3s or better.

What are Pete Z bars, (Are they similar to Upper control arms?) Thanks.
